Phototropism in plants

Tropism in plants is a growth response to environmental stimuli, such as light (phototropism) or gravity (gravitropism), allowing plants to thrive.

Geotropism is the growth response of a plant in response to gravity. Roots exhibit positive geotropism while stems and leaves exhibit negative geotropism.
