We ask for a speaker's honorarium of $500.00 for Homeboy speakers. This offsets costs including transportation, wages and the impact of time away from Homeboy. As a non-profit, Homeboy is sustained in part by the honorariums Fr. Greg, staff and trainees receive when they speak in the community. We also pay our trainee and staff speakers (they are not volunteers) and cover travel expenses. We recognize that some organizations don't have a sizeable budget, and if it is the case, please let us know and we will see what we can do. Even covering transportation is helpful. Please let us know if you would be amenable. We want to be a resource in the community, and as a non-profit organization we have to be conscientious about how we use our resources.

Thank you for your interest in having the Rev. Gregory J. Boyle, S.J., founder and executive director of Homeboy Industries, speak at your event. Father Boyle has an extensive local, national, and international speaking schedule. His calendar typically fills up a year or more in advance. We receive hundreds of speaking requests for Father Boyle each year, many more than he can accept. Every consideration will be given to your request.
