  • Bigger Bangs: 60% to 100% chance to increase the power of any explosion triggered by yourself.​
  • Elven Archer: Get 3s to 5s of Speed 2 on Bow hits.

  • Bat Shield: Spawn with 3 bats flying around you that intercept enemy arrows, bats respawn every 30s to 18s.​
  • Mushroom Aura: Randomly spawn mushrooms around you every 10s to 6s, those can heal you or poison your enemies!​

  • Flower Power: You have 15% to 23% chances to find a flower in chests. Flowers have strange effects.​
  • Nuclear Solution: Activate an Ender Eye to launch a tactical nuke at your current location. The power of the explosion increases with levels.​

Challenge Cards are a new type of Card which give you a small advantage at a great cost. These cards are intended for players who want to try out new challenges, and new ways of playing.

  • Archer Challenge: You gain permanent speed 1, but also weakness 25.​
  • No Chest Challenge: You gain permanent Resistance I, but you can't open any chest.​
  • UHC Challenge: You have 50% chance to find a Golden Apple in chests, however your health does not regenerate.​
Challenge cards have their own statistics, and can't be upgraded. You can enable as many or as few challenge cards as you like - turn on all 3 cards for the ultimate challenge :D

Jumpman is a hoppy little frog soldier that gets a mobility buff when he is away from his enemies. He can also deflect enemy projectiles!

Treasure Hunter is built to explore and scavenge, obtaining random buffs when opening chests. She can also find stronger items in chests!

These kits are available to unlock in the lobby shop right now.

  • 'Launch Potions' will now randomly appear in chests. Throw them at your enemies to launch them around
  • Added Unbreakable tag on items from the supply drop

  • Fixed an issue with the "I trained it well!" achievement not redeeming properly​
  • Fixed a bug where Necromancer's skeleton's helmets were sometimes invisible​
  • Fixed a bug where Triple shot arrows would not have the same velocity as the first arrow​
  • Fixed a bug where First Strike didn't take absorption hearts into account​
  • Fixed an issue with Teamwork Challenge not working as intended​
  • Fixed an issue where Strength potions wouldn't reset if another effect was active​
  • Fixed an issue with players getting kicked "for flying"​
  • Fixed an issue with cards appearing as maxed without being maxed​
  • Fixed a bug where some mobs were immune to fire aspect and flame enchants​
  • Fixed an issue with Void Warranty not working as intended​
  • Fixed a bug where Blaze mobs would sometimes target spectators​
  • Fixed an issue where you couldn't open chests when clicking with a Supply Drop chest and the Supply Drop is on cooldown​

Quakecraft Update - New Guns, Cosmetics, and more!

Hello everyone, I am OrangeMarshall and more than happy to join Hypixel Team!
We've just released an update to Quakecraft on Hypixel! Thanks to your feedback, what was meant to be a simple bug-fix patch has upgraded into a full update adding more content and quality of life changes. Read on to find out more!

33 New Items
We've added 33 new items including:
  • 4 Kill Sounds
  • 7 Hats
  • 1 Trigger
  • 9 Muzzles
  • 4 Lazers
  • 8 Gun Presets
23 New Achievements
We've added 23 new achievements for you to unlock, including 19 new one-time achievements and 4 new tiered achievements. This should give both new players and veterans fun goals to strive for.

Revamped Shop
We've reorganized the shop to make it both easier to use and more aesthetically pleasing. We've also added a gun builder where you can easily switch between different presets without having to select each part individually.
Dash Upgrades
We've rebalanced dashing and added a system where you can upgrade both your dash power and lower the cooldown. The higher tier upgrades require both coins and specific achievements to unlock.

Dash Power I (100% Power) -> Dash Power V (200% Power)
Dash Cooldown I (4.0s) -> Dash Cooldown V (2.0s)

General Changes
  • Fixed numerous bugs (including map loading issues, map teleport issues, dash cooldown not working and more!)
  • Added a "play again" button at the end of the game
  • Reformatted scoreboard and added additional information
  • In solo you can now break respawn protection by shooting it, making the player vulnerable
  • Also in solo you are now less likely to respawn next to your killer or an empty part of the map
  • Implemented Instant Respawning (disabled by default)
  • You now need to confirm your purchases in the shop, so you won't buy anything by accident
  • Added Headshot bonus which earns you 10 coins (not multiplier-affected), kills will now give 2 coins (multiplier-affected)
  • Replaced the experience bar cooldown indicator by the action bar one (which also now is fixed)
  • Team leaderboards are now available on the website
  • When instant respawn is disabled, you will see the respawn screen, but automatically respawn (as you know it from e.g. Mega Walls)
  • The newly introduced tiered Coins achievement gives you a headstart (so you won't have to start off at 0), but it is not accurate to the previous amount of coins you earned
  • Everyone now spawns with a compass which can be toggled in the settings
  • Now shows logged out players with a striked name on the scoreboard
  • Dash cooldowns now show in chat, when you try to use it
  • Added a kill counter next to usernames in the lobby (must be enabled in settings)
  • Map rating has been added
  • Map rotation has been improved to balance maps more evenly
  • Weekly / Monthly leaderboards have been fixed to reset correctly
  • Quake Player quest changed to 3 games played
  • Sniper quest reduced from 100 kills to 75
  • Added Winner daily quest for winning 1 game
  • Bazinga! quest has been changed to 20 games played

Map Submission Review - Our Plan to Review and Add Community Maps

For a long time on Hypixel, we've had an open Map Submission forum. Many great-looking maps have been submitted, but for a variety of reasons we haven't been able to review them. This is about to change.

Starting on March 1st, we will be doing a one-time review process for Community maps. The best maps, as decided by ourselves and the community, will be added to the Hypixel Server. We will be reviewing the most popular maps for a specific range of games.

Processing and adding community maps is a huge effort involving a lot of time from the team. It's actually easier for our builders to build new maps than it is to review, fix and integrate Community maps. But we want to do this to give you a chance to get your maps on the server!

Due to the sheer number of maps submitted, we will only be able to add the very best maps for the specific gamemodes we allow. After we have reviewed and added the maps, we will not be accepting any future maps. We wanted to give you guys as much notice and time as possible to polish up and submit your maps before we review them. We hope this is a fair amount of time. :)

We are really looking forward to adding some of your maps onto the server! If you're interested in submitting a map, please read through the questions below for more information.

Q. What minigames are you accepting maps for?
A. Due to the complexities of integrating maps into other minigames, we will only be reviewing map submissions for the following games:
  • SkyWars
  • Mini Walls
  • TNT Games
  • Smash Heroes
  • Mega Walls (we will only be reviewing already submitted maps for this gamemode)
  • Quakecraft (we will only be reviewing already submitted maps for this gamemode)
  • Warlords (we will only be reviewing already submitted maps for this gamemode)
Q. How do I submit a Map?
A. Maps will be submitted in the Map Submissions forum. Before submitting a map, you MUST read this Specifications post which includes all the extra information you need to properly submit a map. Any Map that doesn't follow the Specifications laid out in that post will unfortunately not be reviewed.

Q. Why didn't you accept maps before?
A. Creating a map for a Hypixel minigame involves a lot of very specific requirements. As well as being a great, well-designed and good-looking map, there are specific elements to our maps that need to be strictly included to make them work in-game. Because of this, it's much easier for our team, who know the processes, to make a new map rather than to review and integrate other people's maps.

We decided as a team that we want to give people the chance to get their maps on the server, so during March we will be doing this extra work to integrate and add the very best maps.

Q. When is the deadline for submitting my map?
A. We will close Map submissions on March 1st. Any maps submitted after March 1st will not be reviewed.

Q. How will you decide what maps to add?
A. We will be closely reviewing and playtesting submitted maps to make sure they are a good fit for the specific minigame. We will also be looking at votes, popularity, and other feedback from you in the community. The very best and most popular working maps will be added.

Q. When will the maps be added?
A. This depends on how long each review takes and how many maps submissions there are. We will be working as hard as we can to review and add the very best maps as soon as possible.

Bed Wars 0.4 Update

In a twist of fate, we've been avoiding our beds in order to bring a fresh update to the beds in the server; that's right - it's a bed wars update!

A new patch has been released for Bed Wars, available to test now in the Prototype Lobby. This patch includes new maps, a new 4-player team mode, new features and many bug fixes. For full information on what changes are included, check out the details below.

▶ General Updates
  • NEW MODE: 4 Player Teams (4v4v4v4)
Developer Comments: Survey results and general player feedback showed that the majority of players wanted more players per team. We've added a 4-player team version of the game alongside the 3-player version, and the most popular / balanced version will be the standard mode.
  • Added support for /rejoin if you disconnect while your team's bed is active
  • Added Player Tracker Compass item
    • During the game, the Compass will track your closest alive team mate
    • During sudden death, the Compass will track the nearest alive enemy in a given team
    • Right-click the Compass to change which team you want to track
  • Shouts have been changed from a limit of 5, to a 90 second timer
Developer Comments: Shouts were previously limited to 5 per game. We have changed shouts to be on a 90-second countdown, allowing for more shouts per game.
  • Sound effect and player health chat message added on bow hit
  • Reduced the build limit
Developer Comments: As a cheesy strategy, some players would build out very low on the map and then hide behind blocks. We have raised the lower build limit to reduce the impact of these sorts of bad strategies.
  • Game length has been shortened

Diamond & Emerald Generators
  • First generator upgrade now starts at 6 minutes, reduced from 10 minutes
  • Emerald Generators
    • Reduce number of generators per map to 2, from 3
    • Countdown has been reduced to 60 secs, from 75 secs
    • First emerald now spawns at 40 secs, rather than at start of game
Blocks
  • Wool
    • Decreased amount from 24 blocks to 16 blocks
  • Sandstone
    • Decreased amount from 24 blocks to 16 blocks
  • Obsidian
    • Decreased amount from 8 blocks to 4 blocks
Melee
  • Iron Sword
    • Increased cost from 6 gold to 8 gold
Ranged
  • Arrows
    • Decreased amount from 16 arrows to 8 arrows
Armor
  • Added Aqua Affinity to leather helmet.
  • Added Chainmail upgrade (costs 40 iron)
  • Iron Upgrade
    • Increased cost from 8 gold to 12 gold
Tools
  • Shears
    • Shears are now a permanent item (not lost on death)
    • Increased cost from 20 iron to 40 iron
  • Golden Pickaxe has been removed
  • Diamond Pickaxe
    • Reduced cost from 24 gold to 12 gold
    • Efficiency has been increased from 2 to 3
Miscellaneous
  • Golden Apple
    • Increased cost from 30 iron to 3 gold

    • Each team can only have 3 golems spawned at one time

    • Emerald Forge has been moved to Tier 3 and Molten Forge to max tier.

    • Blindness increased from 1 to 5 seconds
  • Bed Regeneration
    • Radius increased from 8 blocks to 12 blocks
  • Manic Miner
    • Tier 2 cost decreased from 8 to 6 diamonds
    • Max tier cost decreased from 12 to 8 diamonds

  • Fixed a bug where kills were not credited on bow kills
  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to downgrade armor
  • Fixed a bug that allowed blocks to be placed next to player spawns
  • Fixed an issue where teams were not randomised correctly
  • Fixed a bug where potion length wasn't properly reset after use
  • Fixed an issue where generator resources would sometimes fall off the map
  • Fixed an issue where Iron Golem damage didn't take into account player armour
  • Fixed an issue preventing the trap in It's a Trap activating correctly

  • Fixed a bug where shops spawned in different location depending on team colour
