Shop Changes and Additions

New Professions and Prestige
2 new professions, Hunter and Bloodcraft!

-The Hunter profession is helpful for all players who enjoy open fights, thanks to its Tomb Robber perk you can collect gold nuggets from the dead bodies of your enemies!

-All the recipes of the Bloodcraft profession are powerful items, they will require player heads, so this profession is for veteran players! The Celerity perk allows you to gain a few seconds of speed upon eating player’s heads.

On top of that, all professions now have a Prestige upgrade!
VAbh9XW.png

You need to buy all the upgrades of the professions to unlock it, the Prestige allows you to craft all the recipes of the profession 1 more time each game.

The price of the Prestige upgrades goes from 37500 coins to 100000 coins, depending on the profession.

New Kits and Upgrades
There are now 2 new starter kits, Looter and Ecologist!

The Looter kit gives you important items for crafting recipes, while the Ecologist kit allows you to start the game with tons of wood and lily pads (amazing to cross water).

All starter kits now have 3 upgrades :

The prices of the upgrades are 5000, 15000 and 30000 coins.

Extra Ultimates

We added a total of 17 Extra Ultimates!
bqfAoRa.png

All those require maxed out professions to be unlocked.

0p8hNpJ.png

Those recipes should make the gameplay of UHC Champions more lively.

Some of those items might seem powerful, those are usually hard enough to craft to remain situational.

Recipe and lobby changes
  • The Alchemy recipes were not useful enough so we changed some of them.
  • The Spiked Armor now also has Protection V and Unbreaking X.
  • We added Fire Aspect I, Power II and Punch I on the Book of Thoth.
  • The Steak recipe now gives 10 Steaks and is easier to craft.
  • All recipe changes and additions are updated in the game lobby and the recipe book.
  • We fixed some shop typos and tutorial issues (yes the anvils are not damaged anymore!!!!)
Achievements
oMiZZKR.png
22 new achievements, not including the tiered achievements! Have fun!

Gameplay Changes

Some potion effects have been changed.
  • Instead of dealing +30% and +60% damages, strength potions were actually dealing more than that, the bug is now fixed, so strength potions have been “nerfed”.
  • Speed II potions got nerfed from +40% speed to +30% speed.
  • Glistering melons will now require gold ingots instead of gold nuggets.
  • Heal potions are now healing like in vanilla, so they have been nerfed.

Other changes:
  • We increased a few mob drops to accelerate the preparation.
  • Apples are easier to find from trees.
  • Flint drop from gravel got buffed a little bit.
  • The Vitamins and Expert perks have been buffed.
  • Wither heads now can be used to heal like player heads, good luck finding them.
  • TNT now instantly ignites when placed during deathmatch.
  • You can craft multiple profession recipes at once.
  • Upon killing an enemy with a bow, you see the distance in the chat.
  • Joining a team game with a party instantly puts the party in the same team.
  • Kit items stack with regular items.
  • You can click in the chat to accept a team invite.

Quests
2 quests have been added:
Daily : Play 1 game and Kill 1 player
Weekly : Win 5 games and Kill 50 players.

Bug Fixes
  • Recipes requiring buckets now return the bucket.
  • The Endurance perk of the Alchemy profession is now working.
  • Jimmies now always drop the full inventory
  • Some armors from recipes were not working in anvils.
  • Fixed the name of the Dragon Sword after being used in anvil.
  • All splash potions are now working.

TNT Games Update & 2 New Admins!

rQiH859.png
Boom! New TNT Games Update! Details Below!

All TNT games
  • King’s Crown hat (gold helmet) is now available to all ranks, it requires either the Treasure Hat (redstone block) or the Bounty Hat (coal block).
  • Hats have been given new particles. All hats that used to display critical hit particles will now display different particles to 1.8 players.
  • Fixed Baker’s Hat item being different in the lobby than in-game.
  • All games now have brand new scoreboards. This allows us to display more relevant information.
  • All games now have improved chat messages - the prefix is gone, and messages are now properly colored instead of almost everything being yellow.
TNT Wizards
  • Kit preference is now stored in the database. This means you do not have to select your kit every game anymore.
  • Using a random kit can now give you any kit instead of just kinetic or fire, as was the case until now.
  • Added spawn protection - while at either team’s spawn, you cannot deal or take damage. Most wands are also disabled at spawn.
  • You are now able to reconnect into games. If you accidentally disconnect or time out while in a Wizards game, you will be able to come back if the game hasn’t ended yet.
  • Added kill assists. Assisting in killing someone gives you half the coins you would get for a normal kill, rounded up (if you would get half a coin for an assist, you get 1 coin).
  • You will now get coins for assisting in capturing points for your team.
  • 1.8 players will see important game messages (teams taking points or being close to winning) in the middle of their screen.
  • The following classes were changed:
    • Ice Wizard
      • Freeze effect no longer affects the FOV but instead limits the double jumping.
    • Fire Wizard
      • The fireball now deals decreased damage if it travels a long distance.
    • Wither Wizard
      • The wither skull now has a small random offset so it cannot be used as a 100% accurate ranged weapon.
      • The wither skull now gives the Wither effect instead of Poison. Although Wither deals less damage overall, it can kill you.
      • Absorption hearts being ignored when low on health was fixed.
TNT Tag
  • Added Speedy perk to the shop. This perk gives you extra speed at the start of each round, allowing you to run away from spawn easier.
  • Added power-ups! Power-ups spawn randomly across the map and can be activated by any player that isn’t it. There are six types of power-ups:
    • Speed boost (sugar) gives you extra speed for 10 seconds.
    • Snowball gives you 8 snowballs you can use for knocking people away from you.
    • Teleport (ender pearl) teleports you to another player. Very useful if you’re running away from somebody trying to tag you.
    • Invisibility (glass bottle) makes you invisible to other players. Invisible players emit particles so they can still be found.
    • Shield (chainmail chestplate) reduces the chances of TNT being transferred when you get punched by 75%.
    • Random (chest) has a chance to give you either one of the above power-ups, or a negative effect for 10 seconds. Are you willing to take the risk?
  • You now get bonus coins for surviving in deathmatch (6 players or fewer remaining).
  • 1.8 players will see the You’re IT message in the middle of their screen.
  • Hole in the glass that allowed players to get out of the map on TNT Tag B has been patched.
  • The player tracker (given to players with TNT) now shows the distance to the nearest player.
Bow Spleef
  • TNT now disappears sooner. This means it will not block your shots on map C and will cause less lag for players with less powerful computers.
  • TNT no longer makes explosion sounds.
  • Fixed the game sometimes ending in a draw as soon as it starts
TNT Run
  • Scoreboard now shows the number of players on layers above and below you.
We focused mostly on Wizards and TNT Tag this update due to the last update having focused on TNT Run and Bow Spleef, we hope you like the new additions and changes and as always please keep your ideas coming!

Mega Walls: Faceoff Update

Y3mU7i9.png
When it comes to a game like Mega Walls, its go big or go home. So today we’re thrilled to present the latest in updates to the game that just can’t stop getting better.

New Mode: Faceoff!
Faceoff Mode allows parties of 20 players or less to queue up and fight to the death against other parties on a specialized 20v20 version of the Dragonkeep map. Once the game starts, players will be balanced between the two teams; don't worry, parties will be kept intact! This allows large parties and Guilds to faceoff without disrupting other players.

j_C8vYoXyuPBE2mkAvGmTBhHSA9grh8kQJg_34afQtql1PW4iMx5wjuZ3wsv5LGATQA3NHMzq3sSiWY5-ydSn-LAR47uZP28397l4nLHha5kvvaPEfOSpUFZet8A13rx3VS8gFQ

New Rules: Parties
When playing normal Mega Walls, parties cannot consist of more than 5 players (this restriction does not apply to Faceoff Mode, see above.) If your party is larger than the maximum, you will be randomly balanced between the different teams. Otherwise, your party will be kept on the same team. To prevent abuse from larger parties, the ability to manually select a team has been removed.

If you want to make sure you're on the same team as your friends, party up in the lobby before hand using /party or make a quick team in the game using /team!

New Feature: Layout Editor
Perhaps one of the most requested features of all time, Layout Editor allows you to customize the layout of your hotbar for any of the classes. Simply open the Shop, select "Layout Editor" and then a class. You can then drag and drop any of the items into the layout you desire and then hit "Save". Anytime you spawn in Mega Walls with that class, your custom layout will be automagically applied!

New Feature: Colorblind Mode
Anyone that struggles with colorblindness can tell you first hand how difficult it can be to distinguish between player’s teams because they can’t tell the colors apart. To help, we’ve added in “Colorblind Mode”. Simply enable it in the shop and all player’s names will be prefixed with their team (such as R, G, B or Y) as well the team’s information on the scoreboard.

New Cosmetics: #rekt Sign, Dreadlord and Shaman Mutations
Dreadlord and Shaman users rejoice! You can now use Mutations for your favorite classes (seen above.) Purchase them in the shop for Hypixel Credits and show off your new look! In addition to the new Mutations, you can now purchase the “#rekt Sign”. Upon final killing an enemy, a sign will be promptly placed on their grave forever reminding everyone how you #rekt them.

Game Changes
  • Upon your initial spawning (right after the game starts), you will receive a Crafting Table. This only happens once however and does not apply to respawns.
  • When the game ends, the players with the most final kills will now be shown.
  • You can now also see your team on the Tracker compass.
  • Brand new scoreboard! You can now see all your stats, teammates and more.
  • Numerous performance optimizations!
Balance Changes
  • Adjusted Herobrine’s Wrath skill cooldown to 1 second.
  • Dreadlord now receives Fire Protection 2 on it’s helmet at max level.
  • Golem’s Iron Punch skill cooldown was reduced to 2 seconds from 3.
  • Spider’s Iron Rush skill was buffed to 5-35%.
  • Pigman’s Burning Soul skill now deals 1-2 true damage.
  • Skeleton now has a 90% chance to receive 2 arrows back when maxed.
As always, massive thanks to you guys for the feedback, bug reports and suggestions that have helped to shape this update as well as several others. We are thrilled about this update and we're excited to hear what you think. Now, go play!

Original Note Block Contest Winners!

Original Note Block Contest Winners!
Two weeks ago we challenged the community with the Original Note Block Song Contest. 95 of you submitted 172 pieces of musical content, which is literally giganormous! Over the past week we listened to every single one of them and we're pleased to announce the winners today.

It was hard to identify the winners considering the impressive quantity of quality songs and jingles which were submitted. To select the submissions fairly, we huddled a group of 5 moderators and admins. Everyone picked a list of favorites without conferring with each other, then we identified the winners out of the most common choices.

We also went over every submissions to identify those which we could use in our future games and compiled the list of recipients for the secondary prices.

Overall it's amazing to see the talent which lies within the Hypixel community and it's always exciting to listen to a new song. As such, we would like to thank everyone of you who participated in the contest.
