Rahul Chandra shared thisThere are pitches and then they are pitches 🤩🤩 Bhaktha Keshavachar holding his ground pitching to leaders of BRIC nations. 1 of 37 most innovative companies in India Chara TechnologiesRahul Chandra shared thisPrime Minister Shri Narendra Modi put Chara in front of world leaders. At the BRICS Summit on Sep 11th-12th in New Delhi, we had the opportunity to pitch our rare-earth-free electric powertrain technology to 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 Narendra Modi, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗫𝗶 𝗝𝗶𝗻𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗥𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗩𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗿 𝗣𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻, 𝗜𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝘇𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗸𝗶𝗮𝗻, 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝘆𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗦 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀. Chara was one of 37 Indian deep-tech startups selected for the BRICS Forum, and one of 6 invited to showcase our technology to the BRICS Heads of State. Bhaktha Keshavachar & Harish Lalchandani represented Chara and walked the leaders through our technology and innovation breakthrough. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's understanding of the technology and its larger significance was remarkable. His familiarity with Chara and our breakthrough work in rare-earth-free powertrain was evident as he highlighted our technology to the BRICS leaders as a game-changing innovation. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀: 🔹 World's first 100% rare-earth-free electric powertrain 🔹 Higher efficiency 🔹 Lower cost 🔹 Vertically integrated, from technology and design to manufacturing And importantly, this is not technology sitting in a lab. ✅ Commercially deployed for 2+ years ✅ 2 million+ kilometres on road ✅ 70+ customers across India and Europe ✅ Products across 2W, 3W, 4W, hybrid, tractor, agricultural and industrial applications ✅ ARAI and ICAT certified In the next decade, we aspire to see India evolve from one of the world’s largest EV markets into a global hub for EV technology and components. We are building Chara to be at the forefront of this transition. We humbly express our gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for his vision and for the privilege of representing Indian deep-tech on a global stage. Our sincere thanks also to Hon’ble Minister of Education Shri Pralhad Joshi and the Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi, for launching Bharat Innovates, a global accelerator for Indian deeptechs. Rahul Chandra shared thisIndia is a massive country, and the way 1.3 billion people consume energy over the next decade is one of the defining questions of our time. It is economic, it is strategic, and increasingly it is geopolitical. Every high-growth nation eventually has to decide how much of its energy it builds internally versus how much it imports. At a venture level, we are not trying to solve all of it at once. We are backing companies that each take on one hard piece of the puzzle. Cooling for the next billion people, as heat stress pushes millions toward air conditioning and loads the grid. That is where Optimist sits. The EV supply chain and self-reliance built from India, where Chara Technologies is building. And thermal management for the several gigawatts of data center capacity India will build out in the coming years, an energy equation that has completely rewritten previous years' assumptions. That is KühlTherm problem to solve. Each is a small part of a very large opportunity. Together they point to where I think real venture returns will be made this decade. Energy infrastructure may turn out to be India's biggest unlock. More in the video. Bhaktha Keshavachar Shailesh Bishnoi Ashish Goel

Rahul Chandra reposted thisRahul Chandra reposted thisLED of Motors Four years ago, I wrote a post saying that rare-earth-free motors could become the “LED of motors” — transforming the motor industry the way LEDs transformed lighting. In 2019, Chara Technologies started working on rare-earth-free motor technology when the market was largely dependent on imported rare-earth motors. Choosing a different path meant answering a lot of questions - Will it really work? Can it deliver the better performance and efficiency as rare earth motors? Will it be noisy? Will it suits for ev applications? Will it be cheaper? We answered them by building motors and putting them into vehicles. Our journey has moved far beyond the prototype stage Today, 1,500+ Chara motors are deployed across electric mobility applications — #3wheelers, #tractors, #tillers, #golfcarts, #e-boats, construction equipment and more. And what was once questioned is now becoming a much bigger industry movement. Today Multiple Indian OEMs, established Motor manufacturers and #startups are working on rare-earth-free motor technologies, while global players like #Tesla #BMW #Renault and #Nissan are also moving to rare earth free motors. The biggest lesson from this journey? Super intelligence doesn’t matter without execution intelligence. Ideas are everywhere. Predictions are everywhere. But turning an idea into a reliable product, putting it into vehicles, and seeing it perform in the real world — that is execution. Our founders, investors, customers, and the entire Chara team believed in this vision and, more importantly, executed it. 7 years ago, it was a vision Today, it is on the road. And the #LEDofMotors become a reality. #charatechnologies #rareearthfreemotors #madeinindia #AatmanirbharBharat #ev #motors

Rahul Chandra shared thisRahul Chandra shared thisWe’re excited to lead Ringg AI’s Series A extension! The next phase of voice AI won’t be won on just how human an agent sounds, but on what it can actually get done. Ringg AI is building for that shift. From its roots building speech models, the team is now taking on increasingly complex enterprise workflows across voice, WhatsApp, chat and the browser. Today, Ringg processes 20 million customer conversations a month. The bigger opportunity is moving beyond the conversation to owning the outcome. Congratulations to Siddharth Shankar Tripathi, Kali Charan Vemuru, Utkarsh Shukla and the entire Ringg team! Rahul Chandra reposted thisRahul Chandra reposted thisToday, Ringg AI closed its $15 million Series A, led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Arkam Ventures and Capital 2B. It is becoming easy to build an agent that can talk. It remains incredibly hard to build one that works reliably at enterprise scale, and actually finishes the job. When we started in 2023, almost none of the infrastructure we needed existed. So we went exploring. We fought over how interruptions should work. Ran batches of calls by hand because reviewing logs that way was easier. Built orchestration that selects the right model for every task. Built harnesses that make probabilistic systems deterministic. And then connected conversations to the tools and workflows required to complete the job. The winning agentic experience owns the entire journey from intent to execution, understanding what a customer wants, navigating complex enterprise workflows and completing the work across calls, WhatsApp, chat and the web. Ringg is the platform which allows you to build these experiences. I’m grateful to the team that stayed when the roadmap wasn’t clear, to the people who invented their own roles because there was so much to build, and to the early customers who gave a small team a chance. This capital gives us fuel to build a world class product that understands your customers and gets their job done. And we are just getting started. 🚀 Build Agents that People Love. ❤️ Read more here as covered by TechCrunch https://lnkd.in/e7eJPzZh

Rahul Chandra shared thisLeading the charter to take AI enterprise agents from India to the world 🌎 All the best to Ringg AI team Keep owning the best product out thereRahul Chandra shared thisOur first office had two seats. On a good day, we made 100 calls. Today, Ringg handles more than 500,000 calls a day - which is basically 5,000 of our old "good days" happening every single day. We were forced to look closely at every detail and build the stack ourselves: speech models, orchestration, calling infrastructure - the works. Partly because what we needed didn’t exist. Partly because our team genuinely loved it enough to spend days and nights making it exist. We also quickly realised that solving problems, collecting payments, booking appointments and helping customers needed much more than conversations. It needed action. And so we changed the playbook, from voice agents that talk to AI agents that deliver outcomes. Today, we’re announcing Ringg AI’s $15 million Series A, led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Arkam Ventures and Capital 2B. We thank our early adopters for betting on us when 100 calls still felt like a big day. We are immensely proud of our team, who turned "this should be possible" into "it’s live", none of this would have been possible without that grit. We have a feature-packed roadmap and quite a few ceilings left to break and with this fuel, it’s only going to get more fun. This is just the start 🚀🚀🚀 Siddharth | Utkarsh | Kali

Thank you. ❤️ I also unboxed my own author copies yesterday - it was an absolute delight ✨ and the first thing i did was that I signed one each for my mom, my dad, and my brother and sister-in-law. My family.. my people... who have supported me unconditionally through thick and thin, and this felt like the right way to say thank you. P.S.: the book is now available globally on Amazon, in print and on Kindle, in both the US and India! Stck.me takes 7–10 days to deliver, so the copies many of you ordered on launch day have been arriving this week. Rahul Chandra liked thisRahul Chandra liked thisFrom dreams to dignitaries — Chara’s tech journey takes center stage at BRICS There are moments in life that stay etched forever — the first paycheck, arriving in New York in the 90s with just a dream, the joy of children being born, and even the painful ones like accidents or losing loved ones. Last weekend was one such unforgettable moment. A couple of months ago, we received an invitation from GoI to showcase our innovation at BRICS. Initially, I underestimated its significance, being fully immersed in sales, manufacturing, and deployments. But as the day approached, it became clear this was far bigger than I thought. Day 1 saw central minister Shri Prahlad Joshi and senior officials visit our stall. Security was tight, and we refined our pitch late into the evening. Day 2 was the real test. New Delhi was under a massive security blanket, and the anticipation was palpable. Then came the moment: Prime Minister Shri Modi, accompanied by world leaders representing half the planet’s GDP, stopped at our stall. Despite a brief mic glitch, I delivered our pitch on Chara’s technology, traction, and possibilities — with timely support from Harish. Our Honorable Prime Minister Shri Modi himself, pitched our work to the leaders. It was surreal. Within minutes, they moved on, leaving us with adrenaline and pride. This milestone belongs to the entire Chara team. Every day feels like a battle — engineering, sales, factory, finance, and support thrashing out details in stand‑ups. Special thanks to Unnathi Pai for flawless event execution and Harish Lalchandani for training and anchoring me through the pitch. We are deeply grateful to GoI for platforms like this, in New Delhi and earlier in Nice, France. Such opportunities are invaluable for deep‑tech startups, which are never easy to build. Thanks also to our investors who believed in us long before rare‑earths became fashionable. As we ramp up deployments across applications and regions, our mission remains clear: to make this world a little greener. Cheers. PS: The event was impeccably organized — from security to food (and yes, the coffee!). Experiencing the intensity of world‑leader security firsthand was eye‑opening. Rahul Chandra liked thisRahul Chandra liked thisThere is no single Asia. China, India, Southeast Asia, Japan and Korea are all important to the region’s growth but they are at very different stages of development. That matters when making long-term business and investment decisions. China is a good example. It is an economy in transition but the resilience and scale of its industrial base continues to stand out. China is on track to produce around one billion tonnes of steel for the seventh consecutive year, with demand increasingly supported by advanced manufacturing, machinery, infrastructure, power grids and exports. India presents a different picture. It is only around 35 per cent urbanised so its growth is less a short-term cycle than a structural story that will unfold over decades. It is already BHP’s largest market for steelmaking coal. The opportunity across Asia is substantial. But the scale, maturity and drivers of growth vary markedly across markets. The useful question is not whether Asia will grow. It is where that growth will come from, what will sustain it and how businesses should respond. 📰 In the News | Inc42 Media As India’s startup ecosystem matures, secondary exits are emerging as a critical lever for liquidity - both for VCs and LPs. In conversation with Inc42, our Founder & Managing Partner Pearl shared insights on why secondaries are taking centre stage: “For VCs, secondary funds are also a good way to give exits to LPs that might have come into one fund and move that investment into the second. If they like the asset a lot, they don’t have to prematurely exit and can hold it until IPO.” Read the full feature to understand how this shift is reshaping India’s venture ecosystem 👇 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ghZG_UuE ---- #EximiusVentures #PreSeed #VC #FounderFirst #Inc42 | Palak Nikhil

Agri SMEs are the most underleveraged node in a $500B sector. They are the connective tissue of Indian agriculture; Farmers don't sell directly to consumers, exporters, or large processors. The value chain runs through input dealers, aggregators, rural traders, FPOs, millers, cold storage operators, and logistics players: all of which are predominantly SMEs. India's agri-MSME sector accounts for nearly 33% of total MSMEs in the country. Without them, the farm-to-market pipeline collapses. You can find my thoughts below on how big the credit gap is and where I see large opportunities for incumbent startups.
