The Hanukkah menorah therefore has eight main branches, plus the raised ninth lamp set apart as the shamash (servant) light which is used to kindle the other lights. The eight lamps symbolize the eight days that one night of oil continued to burn. Modern Menorahs—whether silver, gold, pewter or iron—are special symbolic treasures that are handed down through generations of families and gifted to newly married couples for family worship in their new homes, making them cherished pieces. Unique Menorah, Ceramic Menorah, Disc Interiors, Menorah Candles, Mantel Mirrors, How To Celebrate Hanukkah, Clay Things, Dining Design, Hanukkah Menorah

Lulu Krause on Instagram: "Hand-sculpted menorah, made of wire, a RAO’s tomato sauce lid, and polymer clay. I started making this after seeing Labyrinth for the first time, and wanted to create a menorah for the Goblin King himself! I’m excited to use this this coming Thursday, and for many Hanukkahs to come. Swipe for process pics (that include two glimpses of the shows I watched while working on this for the past seven days)."
