Great pixel art! Is a great start but I think it needs some balancing, the weapon reload is very long and I prefer the dash being according to the player movement and not were it is aiming, but that is just my personal preference :)
A fun game! The music fits well! round 4 was really hard for me but other than that great job!

An interesting idea. The player is slow and the dash is barely felt at the start. Also the reload time is too long. The visuals and UI are good. I would recommend making the player strong in the beginning and adding faster enemies as the levels progress. Good work on the submission.
It's fun, just maybe it would be better if player was a bit faster. Also it's interesting idea that you dash towards the mouse and not where you are going, was weird but you quickly get used to it and give you more control over the angle. Also it would be nice to have faster reloading.

Amazing game! Very challenging
I really like the idea here, but the long reload times and slow speed of the weapon make fighting the blue projectile guys really painful. Couldn’t get past them. I’ve only ever seen dash cooldown, dash speed, and health up options in the shop after a few attempts. If I could upgrade my weapon I might stick around, I dunno if I was just missing something or if you have to get to a certain point before other things show up?
I find dashing towards the cursor and not in the movement direction really frustrating, maybe a toggle to change that in the future would be nice. Visually this game is really nice looking although obviously the biscuit images are silly. Font can be tough to read.
I definitely didn’t for a second consider not killing things because I was 1) desperate for upgrades to make my character feel better and 2) am plying an arena shooter, I wanna shoot enemies…
But I think the idea could work? where it’s actually compelling to make one choice or another?
Didn’t encounter any bugs (to my knowledge), and the game loop works even if the balance isn’t quite there. A solid entry, just I can imagine it being so much more. Nice work :)
You have to get to a certain round count in order to see weapon upgrades, otherwise it would be too overpowered. The post-jam version will have much more balancing, shop variety, and new content; I'll add the dash option, and I'll make the cooldowns for weapons faster. Thanks for playing!
Oh man, I love pixel art. I think it suits your game :). btw, movement is a bit slow if you compare it with the enemies in the first few lvls. only comment. :) good job

I tried a few times to get past level 1, but I must be missing something. Has dash been implemented? I couldn't tell if it did anything.

Good game, sadly. I couldn't get past round 4. But the game is really enjoyable and has some great visuals!
Pretty polished game for a gamejam. The UI needs a little work, I couldnt really work out the upgrades (or maybe I couldnt afford them) - but well done getting a complete game done for the Jam

Pretty cool game! The sound effects were great and I really liked the pixel art.
Love the audio sounds! really make it clear whne you kill or get hit. I would suggest making the reload speed a little bit faster? (biscuits? BISCUITS!!!!)
I like it, I really like the pixel art and how well it fits the game. Maybe I’d make the transition between the level and the 'shop' slightly faster, but other than that it’s fine! Maybe also make the start a bit simpler (like faster and with less cooldown, it was tedious to survive xD)
