Pretty cool, love the paper style!
Definitely love the art style!
I'm a fan of the hand drawn art style. It's cool.
I like the idea of hand drawn graphics - even the character. The combat is a bit difficult with the dashing and attacking. But overall a real great idea. Great job
What a great idea for a game, I just love the paper astetics and the hand drawn graphics. Well done :) I think the difficulty is ok but the controls are not as tight as I'd like them. The scissor enemy for example I just cant beat because I can't get a hit in and dodge before he cuts me in half. 😄 But I think you really have something going here, if you polish it a little and add something to keep the player invested, this could become a full game!
Like a lot of other people mentioned, the art is great and unique. The style had a lot of charm and i would like to wander more in this world.
With the combat i had a lot of difficulties. There is not enough player feedback, the attack windup is missing for the player and the enemy. I didnt know when the perfect time for attack was, nor i was able to hit a good timing. It was nice to heal after each fight (cause i needed that!) The audio was fitting and the mood was very good.
Overall a nice looking game with a mechanic that needs more polish.
I enjoyed the game’s unique, hand-drawn art style. I found the combat challenging and fun.
I loved that the art is as hand made as it can be! 😁
I fell in love with the art style ! It's amazing to see that with creativity, we can make something really unique, and we can make videogames with every kind of graphic medium ! (photo, digital drawing, painting...)
I love that everything is hand drawn on paper! The style there stands out. I had some trouble with the combat, it might help to have the enemies finish their attack while the player backs away to allow the player a larger window to dash and attack. But aside from that good work!
Chraming visuals and fun gameplay. Congrats.
I love the hand drawn visuals! I also found the combat a bit challenging, was trying to dodge and attack but failing. But again, this might just be my lack of skill.
Love the innovation of using hand drawn on paper graphics :) It's charming and works with the lore you set up!
I found the combat a little tricky. I'm sure after practice it would get easier! Great work!
Stunning hand-drawn visuals, I really liked them! The gameplay was also very nice, easy to learn, hard to master.
Keep up the good work!
Really liked the art style. Battle system could be a little tighter. All in all good job.
Unique art style and quite cutesy look really add to the charm of the game. The animation looks pretty cute too. Controls are responsive and feels great.
The gameplay in itself is not very engaging atm,
1. there's really no way to mitigate incoming damage (since the enemy does not animate and there's no realistic way to tell if the enemy is attacking, so incoming damage is quite unavoidable)
2. Your attack animation is very slow, and the damage comes right at the end of the animation, so in a way you are actually slower than the enemy, which makes for quite an horrible experience)
I really like the high definition raw drawing backgrounds! good job on that :)
Unique artstyle thats executed pretty well.
Couldn't complete it cause I couldn't figure out how to outpace damage of the guy in the throne room. I don't really see the point of a dodge or a striking closer to enemies attacks for more damage when so difficult to tell when an enemy is going to attack, it seems it just boiled down to exchanging hits. Beyond that, I didnt find 1 enemy > heal > repeat to be the most interesting structure, kind of cheapens the point of the heal to begin with.
Despite my harsh comment, this is unique and impressive, and I could see this with polish to be pretty fun. Nice work!
this game has an amazing style
Nice work with the style! It's a shame that a jump button is not implemented (had some problem with the scissor guy), but i like the paper style and the risk factor. Also it needs some polishing on the animation (learning how to do ease in ease out might do the trick). But yea keep up the good work!
