It was fun to play the stock market with some human-readable patterns to the randomness.  True to life, the first time I went long on a stock, it immediately went into the red, lol.  I ultimately made my fortune of off Waldemart.  Trust me, its a sure fire way to get rich!  Well, a sure fire way for me to get rich at least.  The investors might not fare as well.  If things ever get too dicey, I'll just close up shop and reopen under a different name.  I mean really, what are the chances that two hedge funds go under?

Fun game, I found a good strategy with the BEAST one and won the game on the second day lol. Fits the theme really well, and visuals are nice too!

This game has confirmed that even fake stocks plummet when I buy, and shoots for the moon when I sell. Too realistic.

(Half) jokes aside, game is well made and fits the theme!

A fun, straightforward sim with charming lo-fi visuals and more depth than you'd expect at first. Really well done!

I have no idea how the stock market works, and with my massive gains, I'm convinced nobody does

Not only did you implement long positions, but also short positions—very clever. It was truly a game that fit the theme. Well done!

Very clever game, actually makes me want to learn exactly how stocks work now 😆 The company names are so clever 😜

This was really fun, I beat it!  I just went all in on BEAST and traded all my money as the stock price fluctuated.  It was very addictive and made me feel like I was actually good at stock trading (which I am not IRL).  Nice work!

Congratz!

Yea, I found this to be the best strategy as well. Fun fact, this is a real strategy irl, called swing trading

Interesting application for the theme. Had fun playing it.

Interesting concept and fun game with an easy to understand UI :)

Very fun, and I felt like I was learning something. Also I tried to make money by picking a volatile stock and timing the long and short sales at the right moments. I'm not sure if it was a good strategy but it was fun!

Haha, a worthy opponent indeed! This is a fantastic trading game. The UI is incredibly clean and polished, and I love how clearly it shows your profit and loss on the chart. The parody stock names are a really charming touch as well. Awesome job on this!

I dumped all my stocks on beast I'm now in the red please give me back my money.

In all seriousness, this is a really detailed and well executed simulation of the stock market. While I'm not the most knowledgeable at stocks, I do think it was super fun to experiment with different investments and figure out how to reach the end goal of $8000. The only thing for me though is that maybe there could be a clearer indication of how far into the day I am at and what day I'm in already which can help with decision making. The time on the upper left is a good addition for this but a progress bar could also help.

Eitherway though, this was super fun and if ever you decide to work on this more I'll definitely be on the look out to try it again.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game:)

Yea, I noticed myself, that some key elements, but I will definitely update it after the jam

Thank you for the feedback

It's nice how much you've managed to get into the game in one week. My monkey gambling brain liked betting all my money away on stocks that mean nothing to me. It would be nice to see the prices of the stocks and the price of you order when you are buying stocks. Also options to buy 'as much as you money allows' would be great. The art of the different stock brands are pretty cool

Thank you for the nice words ^^
The clock was not on my side for this project, however I might make a post jam version which is more comfortable to play
