How does the game fit the theme?
The goal is to earn money. To do so, the player must platform, then spend money on upgrades to earn even more. Within a short time, upgrades must be used wisely to make more than what was spent — otherwise, the player may finish with less. If they don’t invest, they risk missing out on greater profit. To earn more, they must take risks: every item collected slows them down, testing their platforming skills. The player has to risk it for money.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The only asset we didn’t make from scratch is the font. Everything else was created by our team during the jam.

Great entry with a lot of content, the platforming felt good but I wasn't sure why i'd ever not take one of the ore chunks? Fun game :)

This is fun and addictive. I'm not a fan of the timer, and think it's more relaxing without. The art, audio and gameplay is nice. Good job, all of you!

Amazing visuals and audio, really addictive just running around collecting ores. Could go for an infinite mode with no timer and just mining eternally in a procedural dungeon.

One feedback is give punishment when dying, drop some money or lower ore for example.

Impressive to see how much was done by 4 people. Well done!

This game is actually SO insane for something made by 4 people

Love the concept, the execution and the unique personality you've given it. Some really good level design with the tutorial, forcing the player to upgrade to move forwards and how the minerals are spread across the level.

The first diamond I found was also the first time my pack was too full to carry anything else ...

Great game, I like the mechanic of earning upgrages and go further in the level with double jump etc.. greate game!!

I love how you can mine for upgrades for each level and have  a time limit on each level. This game I can see developed further.

The song was dope but I wish it was longer before looping! I did think the goal was to like, leave the level with the most money as possible so i went to the right once I had all the upgrades, only to realize no I was just supposed to get a high score! Oh well. I had a pretty good time. Sometimes the trap resets were really generous on the return trip in a way that felt unexpected, but it was kind of fun feeling like I was “exploiting” the game to get a speed up back. I liked that pits and spikes weren’t very punishing but I guess I could see an argument for making them do more than cost you time. For my personal taste the default mining speed is too slow, like hitting each square four times is fine, but if each “hit” took like half as much time the game would’ve felt a lot better. And for my money, the control scheme felt really awkward because I’d rather use wasd to move. That doesn’t really ding you points though.

Really solid game all around and I’m glad I got to play it! great work :)

The burden mechanic works really well as a risk/reward control.  Accrue too much ore and you'll have a hard time getting back.  Adding in some extra penalty for dying along the way would probable accentuate this tradeoff further.  Otherwise, the ore and upgrade economy felt pretty well balanced.  I would recommend changing the default ore behavior to be "keep" rather than "discard" since I usually just wanted to keep everything while mining out a line of rocks.

Hey, what a great game! I got a score of 8241 - how is it? :D

The idea of mining and risking movement for more gold is really innovative! I also liked that you added a dash and a double jump. Also, while you are waiting to accept or decline ore, the decide screen gets bigger - a nice touch.

Some minor bugs: Sometimes my double jump didn’t work correctly - I think what I initially thought was my coyote jump was actually my double jump. And if you are in the shop, you can still mine for more ore, which is a bit funny.

Overall a fantastic game, I really enjoyed playing it!

Great game! The game is fun, and the gameplay loop is good. A catch is that the respawning system is really weird, like sometimes you spawn ahead of your point, helping you reach your goal instead, and the spike is a bit too big and not really risky(because you immediately respawn near it).  Also, having some score in-game would make it much better in the risk & reward system if you aim for a high score.

A fun game with a lot of good ideas! Congrats!

Great game! Only issue was the game respawning me in weird places when I died, but besides that it was fun!
