How does the game fit the theme?
To cast magic, you use your health bar, no mana bar. So, every time you cast magic, you are much closer to death. But cast the magic anyway, coz why not, right?

This was pretty funny and charming!
I liked your take on the theme, and I think this idea could be expanded with more enemy types and ways to regain health.
Also, a risky move could be to take a flat hp hit to give the sword life stealing for a limited time or something, so you need to take risk to gain more health than it cost.

I think you have room to grow the concept, maybe unlock totems for special attacks, grab different cookies to craft spells, add power ups and debufs.

Good concept. Not sure if music is bugged for me or just missing.
I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. I kept tapping the staff to not use hp. One tap strat overpowered.

I enjoyed using the magic spell, but on second try I totally avoided it because of the health drop. You could put some health potions on the map, to make it less punishing. That beeing said, I've loved it. Loved the sword swing, simple but effective.

Cool! I imagine with some polishing like the sound and building upon a quest system or upgrades would make this shine. I however understand it was only 1 person so pretty cool anyways.

Pretty cool premise that can be iterated upon, though here is quite simplistic, but satisfying to use regardless. Quite enjoyable for a lit bit as well. Could be neat to have different type of magic and/or way to recover life so it becomes sustainable though still with the same risk/reward
The game is pretty simple, but the death ray is really satisfying to use. A few sound effects would make it even better. If you’d like a tip, try the site bfxr.net to create bits sounds, you just randomize and tweak a bit until you find something that fits well for pixel-style games like this

Very straight forward, I liked it. The giant beam of annihilation was so satisfying to use.
A neat idea! The town is nicely build together with the assets. Some soundeffects would make the game way more satisfying. Try implementing at least some few sounds next time, they make a big change!
A gamedesign change: i think you would fit the theme a bit more, if you would add a timer. Right now there is no need for the risk because i have all the time i need.

Felt nice to hit many enemies at the same time with the staff. But it seems like if you quickly press right click over and over again you can use it without taking damage. But pretty fun game, I liked the sword animation!

took me a death to realize the staff attack was slowly killing me. pretty smooth movement, nice job. would be nice if there was a twist benefit to casting the spell too much, like becoming an undead wizard
Yeah, too many ideas to make it more interesting, but i ran out of time, haven't implemented a simple pick-up health potion, or even sound. But I am glad I finish implementing the main concept 'risky powerful magic', albeit for 1 spell.
