Spring time is here — and there's a lot of great and interesting food from around the world!
So letโs make games about food! Any kind of cuisine from around the world. Whether it's Shopping in a Supermarket or Convenience Store for food, Coffee barista serving or bartender simulators, a mukbang livestream simulator, serving customers at a boba/bubble tea stall, or preparing food as a sushi chef, all types of food or drink based games are welcome.

Jam Rules
โ Your entry MUST incorporate the food theme and follow all jam rules listed below and incorporate at least ONE (1) limitation. The game can be in any genre - anything from a cozy cafe simulator to a RPG.
๐ ๏ธ Any Game Engine is allowed (Unity, Godot, GDevelop, Unreal, your own custom engine, open source libraries, etc.)
๐ค You may work in teams or solo. Teams are limited to a maximum of five (5) participants.
๐ Web Games/Builds are strongly encouraged, but downloadable games (Windows preferred) are allowed as well.
๐ค AI Usage: AI tools are allowed only for coding. All art, music, and story content must be created by participants or properly sourced from assets.
๐จ Any non Generative AI assets (art, music, sound effects, etc.) are allowed: your own creations, free assets or paid asset packs, open-source assets, or properly licensed assets. Any unlicensed or copyrighted assets are not allowed. Be sure to give proper credit for any assets that you use.
๐ซ No NSFW Content.
๐ No rate spam / Review-for-Review: Any attempt to manipulate the voting results, including using fake accounts, vote-swapping, or offering review-for-review/incentives, is strictly forbidden. Violations will result in immediate disqualification and removal from the jam.
๐ You may begin working on your jam content immediately (as in right now) - there is no need to wait for any announcement.
๐ฌ Games must primarily be in English.
โฐ Be sure to submit your game before the submission period deadline ends. You will not be allowed to modify your game submission during the voting period, but will be able to do so after the voting period ends if you wish to make a post-jam version.

Choose at least one limitation from the list below. Each one is a โmodifierโ to your foodie adventure — mix and match to create your own unique journey. You can choose more than one if you like, but one is the minimum.
1) ๐ฐ๏ธ Time-Travel
Your game must allow the player to visit the same location in different eras than the present — either travel to the past, to the future, or both. This can affect visuals, characters, gameplay mechanics, or story.
Examples:
A Cafe in Paris in the Middle Ages โ Cafe Paris in the modern day๐ฐ๐ฅ
Edo Tokyo Sushi restaurant โ Neo Tokyo Sushi restaurant ๐ฏ๐ฃ

2) ๐๏ธ Historical Food Event
Your game must be based around a real, historical food event or banquet of some sort.
Examples:
Roman Emperor Nero's Banquets: Known for rotating dining rooms, floral cascades, and decadent sensory experiences, epitomizing Roman excess.
Ashurnasirpal II's Inaugural Feast (879 BC): A massive, 10-day event for nearly 70,000 guests celebrating his new capital, Kalhu, a huge feat for the time.
3) ๐ Unique Transportation
The game must involve a specific or unique type of travel while incorporating the food theme
Examples:
๐ Dining on a moving vehicle such as a Train, Plane, Cruise, or Space Ship, or even a bicycle or motorcycle.
4) ๐ Local Customs
Incorporate cultural practices, etiquette, or rituals from the location.
Examples:
Attending a tea ceremony in Japan ๐ต , with formal attire, and making matcha with a matcha whisk.
A Korean NANTA-inspired cooking show.
A Live-streamed interactive mukbang cooking show.
5) ๐ Iconic Restaurants/Locations
Players must visit or interact with a famous restaurant/location (whether still present or not).
Examples:
Starbucks coffee reserve roastery in Shanghai, China โ .
Dining on top of the Burj Khalifa.
6) ๐ Celebration: Festivals/Holidays
Players must visit or interact within an iconic festival or holiday.
Examples:
Getting Tanghulu at a Lunar New Year Celebration.
Festival/matsuri food while viewing ice sculptures at the Sapporo Snow Festival.
Interacting with food vendors at the Burning Man Festival
7) ๐งช Fictional Food
Players must visit or interact with fictionally created food. One could create a story around this as well, i.e. robots eating electricity for food, etc.
Examples:
Robot Food.
Alien Food.
Zombie Food.
Dragon Food.
Elf Food.
8) ๐ญ Feels
The game must aim to take the player on an emotional journey through food.
