I enjoyed it! Got some incredible tin machine vibe.

Got some feedback:

- The chromatic distortion shader is nice and all but makes reading text very very dificult, always tune for usability first.

- I don't know if this game needs to be so "paused", building and efect can happen real time and would add some more rythm

- Left click to place, Right click to remove pweeeeese.

Love the aesthetic of this game! Very minimalistic (in a good way) and a fun gameplay loop. I think this has a lot of potential and could have a bunch of cool levels, if you want to develop it further. The winning sound is a bit loud, but otherwise I have no notes. Very nice game, especially for your first game jam!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Many people have commented this and yes, the winning sound is a bit loud partially due to it looping (I think only in the web version but I’m not sure) by accident. I am also considering developing this further, and if anyone has any cool mechanic or level ideas they should leave a comment.

This game is awesome! I like the art and the music a lot!, Not trying to be mean, But the winning noise is a bit too loud. Maybe It's because I wear headphones :O, But other than that, this game is very, very FUN! :D

Developer

That’s probably because the winning noise accidentally loops lol! But thank you for the comment!

All of the puzzles were very well designed and made the most of the theme! A suggestion for another mechanic would be having to color the lights through glass and mixing the colors to get the one you want before returning it back to the mirror?

Developer

Thank you! That’s a very interesting suggestion for a mechanic, might add it later if I continue to develop this game

Apart from the UX issues that were already mentioned, it is a cool concept with some nice new ideas :D

And congratulations on your first game jam 🎉

Developer

Thank you!

Nice game that provides chill vibes by its visuals and sounds!

Developer

Thank you! I probably spent way too much time on the music haha, probably should’ve spent that time adding a “Delete mirror” feature because people have been wanting it

Submitted(+1)

Visuals are nice and it is fun to play! Like others have mentioned sometimes light can hit the edge of a mirror which nuisance, but overall it is really nice for your first game jam!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, that was why I added a “Restart level” button, it was because you could think light would go one place and then go to another and hit the edge of a mirror and that was really frustrating. I was meant to add a “Delete Mirror” feature but ended up running out of time. But thank you for the feedback!

Cool idea. A bit hard to read the text and would like the game to always select the mirror for me.  The mirrors was a bit awkard when the laser lined up on the edges of the mirror. Contrats on the first game jam! It was my first time to.

Developer

Congrats on your first game jam! Thanks for the feedback

Reminds me of the puzzles in Portal 2 with the Reflection Cube! Pretty fun.

Developer(+1)

Yeah I think I subconsciously was influenced by the portal games… I play them a lot. The funny thing is DevBob actually pointed this out to me earlier in development and I was just like “Eh well it’s a great game”

Nice work on the graphics part, though the chromatic aberration becomes hard on the eyes after a while. Still, it’s a really good start for your first game jam!

Developer

Thank you for the comment! Mostly, I used the post processing to hide the lack of art skill. You are right though, I probably should've turned down the chromatic aberration, I can see what you mean about it getting a little hard on the eyes.

Very cool take on the theme. It's satisfying seeing the lasers go throughout the setup of mirrors I have made, and especially so when I find the correct solutions. Well done.

Submitted(+1)

Definitely satisfying when you get it right. And I appreciated being able to test with the laser easily

Developer

Thanks for the comment!

Very fun concept. I think it is very well executed. The vibe and the levels very fun. Great job!

Thank you!

At first, I thought that the stages had only one solution, but later it became clear to me that its not

also the puzzle is mentally exhausting.

@_@

Developer(+1)

Yeah some of the levels I had to change later in development because I wanted multiple solutions

This is pretty neat! It's satisfying when you get it right.

There are some confusing UX decisions though, like how you can't remove mirrors you placed. Also you have to go into a menu to select mirrors to place even though it's the only option.

There is an audio issue where the completion sound effect loops infinitely and gets quite loud (web version).

But still, I liked it!

Developer(+3)

Thanks for the comment! Addressing those UX decisions, the menu was supposed to have more items but due to time limitations I never ended up implementing it. And not having the ability to remove mirrors was also because I ran out of time (It was really late at night/early in the morning when the jam ended for me so I was asleep when the jam ended, didn’t have time to fix some last-minute things). I also knew about the audio issue but only thought of a fix just now when looking back at my code. But thank you for the feedback!
