During this Jam participants build small games on RIVES (RISC-V Verifiable Entertainment System), a fantasy console that can run small games written in any language that compiles to RISC-V. RIVES can natively verify and store submitted gameplay files as rewatchable tapes and add players to leaderboards. RIVES lets you create cartridges, and compete for the top spot on custom leaderboards.

Uniquely for this JAM, the top games will be eligible to join the RIVES player contest. After the Jam, top cartridges will be eligible to join a player contest (from Dec 16-23) after being polished. Cartridges can then earn part of an additional $1500 Prizepool. Prizepool will be split between cartridge creators based on player engagement during the contest.
