i really like the instrumentation. the mallet instrument is a bit too loud in comparison to the others. the harpsichord was nice.
overall it has a very cool medieval feeling.
great job
I kinda liked the entry but I the way the song is structure feels off, like it takes a while for new elements to be introduced and when they do they don't contribute as much to the song as a whole. As a song it doesn't feel cohesive to listen to.
But the overall composition is very charming and the instrumentation really fits with the vibe!
The best part in my opinion comes just right at the end! I think the number of repetitions could be a bit more shortened. besides that, it's a great tune, and I like the minimalist use of instruments, and the ones you chose work pretty well.
The choice of mallets, harp, and plucky instruments fits very nicely with a rat character. The part at 1:54 with the new idea introduced and the walkup over the pedal notes is my favorite part. It sounds like music that is accompanying inner conflict. When I think about creating looped music, I like to think about how many times to repeat something so that it gets stuck in the listener’s head while still wanting them to loop it around again to hear it again. I think that you may be able to cut down on the number of repeats in each section to reach that sweet spot. I like all the variation you have! Nice work and thank you for sharing!
The harp was my favorite instrument you used. It was very smooth compared to the other harsher instruments which made it a nice change of pace when it played.
