I think it’s cool, some things seem a bit random though (for example the score… I get that I win when no loops are possible, but I don’t understand how the score is calculated).
Furthermore I think most times you just cycle away most rules and try to find some sort of paradox, and it kind of depends more on quick choices than logic thinking.
Therefore I personally would prefer this sort of as a puzzle game, in which you can for example choose 4 out of 10 rules and you see the bot can choose out of a limited set of the colours and patterns (which you see). Then you’d have to think carefully which rules to choose.
At any rate, I did enjoy it! The concept is great, the execution is nice to. I think overall you did a great job!
This is fun! Such a simple idea, great execution, I love it!
It would be cool if the game had something like jump buffer (it’s basically when the game remembers you pressed space for like 0.2 seconds and jumps as soon as it’s on the ground), because I often times didn’t jump when I expected to be jumping because I technically was still barely in air (this is just a personal preference related to my skill issue :D ).
Anyway, I think you did a great job! I also really like that the platforms are actually a sleepy face which even is animated! :)
This game is so cool! I enjoyed it a lot!!
Especially later it was quite challenging, but I love the challenge :)
Also one level, I think it was level 9, I used all parts, I completed the loop, but I didn’t get to move on. I think that might have been because I’ve built the shape in a mirrored way (don’t know how it’s implemented, I just think that might be the issue?)
Anyway, it’s a great game! I enjoyed it.
I don’t really have the patience for snake games, but I did complete some levels at least.
I think the concept is really cool, execution is great as well. I feel like there was some music bug, were the menu music mixes weirdly with the game music. Also I think once an apple spawned inside of a tent. Apart from that is was fine though, it also looked really cool.
Good job!
Ok, this is actually amazing. The calm music, the great sound effects, the adorable visuals. I don’t know why but this really just made me smile. I enjoyed this a lot!!
The only thing that could be improved in my opinion is animation for the buttons, probably lowering the top half of the button by 1 pixel would already be enough.
Still I think this is an awesome, perfectly fits the theme, and definitely well executed!
Good job!
I enjoyed this a lot. I think it’s also really cool that you have only two control keys, although that makes fighting enemies a little bit boring. I also think it would be really cool, if the dungeon stays the same until you managed to beat the level, allowing you to explore and trying to memorise each run.
Good job!
I enjoyed this a lot.
The visuals look great, the characters on this small pixel scale are very impressive and I really like the loading animation.
Also it took me some time to figure out, but I think it’s really cool that you can move your ghost, not only to explore, but also to move the player to the goal, for example when you know that that player won’t die next run.
Good job!
The browser version was a bit laggy for me so I didn’t play that much but I enjoyed what was there. I think the concept is quite interesting, especially since you have to work with the timing of the jumps and so on…
The camera movement was a bit annoying with the jumps, I suggest to only change the camera y position if the player exceeds a certain y-threshold and on hitting the ground (to stop the camera from moving up and down when the player only jumps on the same platform).
At any rate, I think you did a good job!
Nevermind. I did find something… but not something really bad… It’s just… I want to play more of this, but it isn’t procedurally and is quite short… I mean I can try use more bullets and make it more or less challenging for myself… but I think making the enemies spawn randomly would be a possible cool upgrade for after the GameJam… maybe. Still amazing game though! :)
I enjoyed the game but I feel like my laptop didn’t (it lagged a bit. The phone didn’t always stop at 90 degree angles because I assume it was making to fast movement jumps for the configured thresholds to stop. I don’t judge though, that can happen in my game too if you force it to lag…). I think it was really fun and stressful scanning all the items and playing on my phone at the same time. :D
Such a unique concept! I enjoyed playing this, the game was very simple and enjoyable. When I moved my cursor too fast I could make the point draw lines through the circle and not just on the outline (that’s not that significant though since actually playing the level the intended way feels better than trying to get this glitch to work). Also I think the clean and simple visuals look great!
That’s such a great idea. Basically snake, but almost like a Puzzle game… Personally I would have prefered if it was turn based (but so that you can still spam it and progress fast), but that’s just my opinion, I still enjoyed it like this, especially with the slow motion key. Also I really like the retro visuals.
So… I’ve been playing this game for almost an hour now, clearly I’ve been enjoying it :D I have to say this game is amazing!
Already in the menu with the 2 start buttons the fun started. The introduction dialogue was quite funny too. When I started the game initially I was a bit confused about all the buttons but the explanations worked well and I did figure out what each button does.
I then proceeded playing the game, and quite quickly found the marbles doubler. And just because I can I tried using half of it’s output to fuel itself which did work (most of the time). I then proceeded discovering new rooms mostly just by using the accelerator room type and just putting a bunch of holes on the walls.
I did eventually manage to provide the people with marbles although it was very inconsistent. I think it’s kind of sad that Godot’s physics system is unpredictable since that often times made it a little bit more difficult, especially when accelerating marbles.
Also I realised when I start drawing inside a square and end draw over the border, the line renders but has no collision and cannot be deleted.
Apart from that it’s pretty much amazing. I love the visuals, the sounds (even though it was just music)… it’s just such a great game! I had a great time experimenting!
The sound effects were really great… also I like how it randomly generates the levels, I think the bear trap thingies together with the teleporters make it really interesting. It some point it was purely luck based though, since all ways were blocked either by jumps or teleporters. Regardless, I enjoyed it :)
