it is a false positive 99.9% of the time

you need to edit the client with the novetus client sdk, found within the novetus SDK launcher found here
unfortunately, all included novetus clients have locked clientinfo.nov files for security reasons, however here’s the settings in the client SDK used for 2006S. UI may be slightly different because i use the snapshot. If you’re using an older novetus version, leave it as %args% in the client command arguments field
description:
2006 Simulation
A ROBLOX client from early 2007 modified to look like 2006. Has no animations and the old font. Character customization is limited to body colors only.
If your keyboard has N-Key rollover:
CTRL + SHIFT + D to enable DOF
CTRL + SHIFT + B to enable Bloom
Note that shaders may not work on modern AMD/ATI cards due to shader compilation issues.
warning:
WARNING: This client is known to contain massive security vulnerabilities. If you are planning on playing this client online, use a sandboxing tool like Sandboxie. You don't need to do this when playing solo. This client has been patched to fix these security issues, but more may come up during gameplay. Only play on servers you trust. This is a simulation client. Due to this, the client may be inaccurate in some places.
this is false. most detections from antiviruses falsely detect novetus because it creates configuration files and launches clients. I’m working on solutions to fix the false positive detection.
the project is also open source if you want to look at the code https://github.com/Bitl/Novetus_src
The detection has been ruled out as a false positive, especially since it comes from a relatively unknown antivirus
the others are other antiviruses, which includes a lot of common ones, and the majority of those didn’t find anything wrong with it.
if you don’t see any detections from common antiviruses (norton, trend micro, etc) and the detection count is below 3, there’s nothing to worry about here. a detection count of 1-2 is a sign of a false positive in most cases.
This is indeed an asset delivery issue. See: https://itch.io/t/4731830/im-trying-to-use-custom-clothing-but-nothing-is-working?before=5#post-12560700
They haven’t shut down the API. The API now requires a Roblox account to use and since I don’t intend on adding Roblox logins it possibly won’t be fixed in its entirety.
1.4 however will still have 2 options for online clothing:
-
Roblox (Local), which will use the web proxy for currently saved local assets. All players in the server may need the assets for the clothes and web proxy on for things to work properly.
-
Imgur in both http and https. For this you need the image file name.
I plan on hopefully adding more content providers if there’s any more that support direct links.
This isn't a bug at all. Novetus Snapshot starts a Client and Server for solo as it was the original way Roblox did it (Roblox would start a server in the backend for one player, and then it opens a client to join it). This makes testing places and features for multiplayer much easier, as places in solo would function differently to how they'd work online. This means chat, leaderboards, and everything would work the same as it would on a normal Novetus/Roblox server.
NOTE: for people coming in from the IsThereAnyDeal page for another game named MAYHEM, read this blog post before purchasing: https://bitl.itch.io/mayhem/devlog/727802/mayhem-is-now-bitl-development-studios...
As of the latest snapshot (in the blog post below), there are no longer any pop-ups and I'll work on implementing these features in a better way. Uninstall all previous versions of the snapshots and install the latest version.

Newer versions of Novetus have an optional web proxy that enables badges, asset redirection and other features. Users get an initial prompt upon launch asking if they want to activate the web proxy and what will happen once they do so.
If you wish to turn it off, open up Novetus with the console and use the "proxy disable" command. Novetus will not re-prompt you to activate it upon re-opening.
Implemented the change internally. The guns were based on the Paintball Gun, so bullets mainly act like the Paintball Gun's projectiles. BrickCleanup was meant for the bullet debris and NOT the bullet itself, which is why it was set to 15 seconds. However, I felt like this change would be good for game optimization.
This is being worked on. During my testing, I didn't have a crash in my Windows 7 VM, but noticed config issues, which I addressed in the snapshot. Have you tried the latest Snapshot?
I would also reccommend loading the Dependency Installer and installing the respective requirements for your operating system. Also, can you post the problem details?
Windows XP has the ability to run applications with administrator. Despite it not having UAC, some applications require you to run as administrator.
