Cute artwork, smart puzzles, and the player being an adorable bunny? 10/10 game. But all seriousness though, this was super fun to playthrough. Felt like mechanics were introduced in a way that eased the player into the way the game wanted you to think, which is great. Loved the bunny character their animations were awesome and adorable - I see I'm not the only one who made a game about a rabbit lol.  I would honestly like to see more, I can already see that there's some speedrun potential with this game (mainly because I accidently skipped the last puzzle, by moving the camera in a way that allowed the player to loop around and enter the door without pressing all the buttons, oops). Amazing stuff!

Addictive gameplay loop! Didn't realise that the CPU copies your previous moves so I probably didn't play like how you intended, but I still had fun regardless. wouldn't playing this again in my spare time to be honest. I feel like you could polish this into a fun, addictive, strategy game.

Silly game, got a good few laughs out of me. Just wish there was a way to actually reach the goal, maybe have the reincarnation give you extra abilities or something? But other than that I had a fun time!

Nice short little speed run game. Felt like the timer was a little bit too strict though, then again that's just me

Nice pixel art. I encountered a lot of bugs while playing, mostly collision stuff. Cool idea and fun game though

Short. sweet. and fun. Good usage of the theme too, with mechanics being introduced slowly and in an easy to understand way. Only complaint is I wish there was more levels

Simple but addictive gameplay loop (pun intended). Really liked the retro game feel, and how lenient the circle drawing was. Overall really fun, wouldn't mind playing this again!

Pixel art for this game is great, gives Gameboy vibes. Gameplay was nice, enjoyed the chicken catching mechanic of having to move in their opposite direction to pull them in. Just wish there was more variety with it though, like maybe some chickens get angry and try attacking you while you're trying to pull them in or something in the environment like a thorn bush or something you need to avoid while catching chickens. Would love to see more of this!

Neat idea on the theme. Struggled to draw a circle while moving most the time. Very fun game though!

Simple but fun. Presentation was outstanding though, phenomenal artwork!

Amazing pixel and fun gameplay loop. Would love to see this idea expanded more, with more upgrades and possibly levels. Awesome stuff!

Silly story and cute graphics. Wish gameplay was a bit clearer with the explanations - was struggling to understand what I was doing for the most part - but overall it was pretty fun.

Very fun! The powerups, that effect both you and your enemy, help keep the gameplay feeling fresh and not stale. I did find myself losing sight of the player character when it went behind the UI. But all things consider this is an amazing game, would love to see what else you can do with it.

Very fun and simple gameplay loop (pun intended). The different weapon types are creative, shadow flames has to be a favourite though - very easy to rack up ALOT of damage on enemies if you pause the colour wheel on it. Pixel art is super cute too, though it was hard to see enemy trails sometimes

Play The Game

https://games-by-maddie.itch.io/paul-the-postman-penguin

Hey there! Do you like 2D Platformers inspired by Bennett Foddy games like Jump King? Do you like cute pixel art? And do you like penguins? Then my small game might interest you.

About the Game

You play as Paul, the postman penguin, and it's your job to deliver packages to people. However, this particular delivery is to a house atop a very tall mountain. It's up to you to climb this mountain to delivery the package, it might be hard with a heavy package on your back but by tossing it you can open yourself up to more movement capabilities.

Closing Statement

I would like to do more with this idea in the future at some point, maybe in a potential sequel if it gathers enough attention. Your feedback is always important so feel free to leave a rating and/or comment telling me what you thought of the game.

Screenshots and Gameplay

Great game! Ran into some bugs though; with the guns not being able to destroy blocks right next to the player, and being completely unable to access one room I had previously visited (when walking in the room, the screen would fade but I would be teleported to the room entrance I was trying to walk through). Regardless of bugs, I had a great time!

Amazing title artwork and music! The gameplay was confusing at first but I think I managed to understand it a couple rounds in. It's a bit hard to tell when you, or the opponent, are being damaged though. I think I ran into a glitch on my first round as well, where I couldn't play any card at all (quitting the game, and reopening it fixed it though).

Love the art style of this one! Very fun bullet hell, and very impressive considering it was made in 48 hours.

Underrated game. Love the artwork! The gameplay is simple but it is a bit hard to tell whether or not you're just slightly too big or slightly too small (I think that's more of a me issue though). Love main character, would buy a plush of them.

Unique take on the theme, just wished there was more ways it was explored gameplay wise because every enemy admittedly felt the same. Granted, each enemy has an amazing design though (massive props to the artist) the art style was wonderful to look at!

Loved the extending glue stick mechanic! Very creative way of using the theme. The art is great, reminds me of box boy, lovely to look at. There were a couple of bugs I noticed (being able to jump mid air if you walk off a platform, repeating some levels), but I still had fun regardless.

Underrated gem! Very fun game with amazing sprite work, with a unique interpretation of the theme! Hope this gets much more attention soon

The title and cutscene art is magnificent! Nothing could have prepared me for goku nugget.

A very short but VERY enjoyable game. Loved the way the player character was animated.

Very impressive and a unique way of interpreting the theme!

Unique concept with fantastic artwork! But I kept running into bugs that left me having to restart levels or that just flat out let me skip a level unintentionally.

Love the style of the game!

Unique spin on an already existing game! The artwork was very cute, and the game itself was very fun. I did have a hard time keeping myself focused on both the asteroids and the shadows at the same time, but I think that's more so a me thing than the game's fault.

Very simple and very fun gameplay! Very creative interpretation of the theme as well, would never have thought to use ladders with the theme

Fun game! Had a slight issue of telling what was and wasn't a hazard though

Love the artwork and concept here, the artwork especially. The tutorial at the beginning was great, but having all the bugs being introduced at once did overwhelm me a bit. Really good game nonetheless though!

cute sprite work, loved the ending screen. Camera was difficult in some spots, there was a spot in level 3 where I would fall immediately down a spike pit because the camera didn't show it.

Loved playing this! I wouldn't be surprised if this makes it to the top 20

Love the graphics and concept! Had fun launching myself forward with the speed boost. Only real problem I had was me getting stuck on chests on occasion, despite that though I still had fun

Loved the player character's design and the game concept. But I did lock myself out of the shop a few times, just by building so much that there was no way for me to get back to the shop to buy more things

Amazing art for the result and title screens! It reminds me of old flash games in the best way possible. Gameplay was a bit confusing as first, found myself dying to either having too many neurons or by running out of neurons a lot.

Very creative interpretation of the theme, with amazing sprite work. Only thing really missing is music, but overall this is such a cool game

The game hasn't been published so no one can access it! The thumbnail art looks great though

Very creative! I loved the sprite work used and only wished there was more of it to play!
