That was a fun game! I liked the idea - if you had more time I definitely would have played more if the level was longer and got more challenging

Very fun and interesting game! Where did you get the idea for these controls from? I almost got to the end - I could see the flag but then I died :( Cute graphics as well

A real good time! I would play a few more stages of this if they existed :)

Doh! You're definitely not pestering - I can't believe I left so many obvious bugs in. Thanks for playing though!

Fun idea! I liked the art and the intro sequence :)

Enjoyable to play a hangman-like game! The music was very intense :)

That was a fun game idea! Very simple but intuitive and addictive. Reminds me of a WarioWare minigame

Nice game! I got 38. It was quite a fun idea and fit the theme well

Cool game! I liked the voice acting and the background sounds. It was a fun experience to open and read the manual and figure it out. It took me 3 or 4 fails to get it.

Haha definitely a bug! Should be fixed now :)

Fun game idea! I managed to get 30 points by just putting each of the four types of people into the four corners of the map

Sorry you found it laggy :( It runs fine on my computer. If you wouldn't mind me asking, are you on a laptop / using a track pad to play? Thank you for the kind words though - the ambulance shows up every 10 seconds I think and spawns at a random y-position - no complex logic

Great game! I thought the idea was cool and the controls were really tight. It could have used a bit more juice to be really impressive (maybe music as well) but I thought it was a fun demo.

Very funny idea! It could have used some sound. I was hoping you could hide in the corn :) It could use some extra challenge / levels though.

Fun and great atmosphere! I didn't find it that hard though as others said? It could have been good to have multiple levels with a few different things. Awesome work for just 3 hours though!

Nice music, sounds and visuals. Platforming mechanics could have been a bit smoother and I got stuck with how to progress. The ambiance was good but something else to make it autumn-y would have helped sell the vibe.

I really liked the visuals and the palette. The player movement looks and feels really nice. It would have been nice if you could make some more choices which effected the outcome. The leaves in the middle were really cool!

I liked the aesthetic. I couldn't really work out the gameplay though - how do you tell if you should open the door or not? I think the transitions were cool though and the ambiance and sound were nice!

Solid foundation - it would have been nice to see maybe some tower building elements or an upgrade system to add another layer of depth. The art is cute and the sounds are good but I would have liked some music. Maybe it would have been a bit more challenging if the enemies came from all sides. Good job for just 3 hours!

Thank you for playing!

Thanks for the kind comment! Shoot - you're definitely right about the ice :(

Sometimes jams have a main theme which is announced before the start and a secondary theme which is announced when the jam starts. You don't have to do this but it is a good option if you're concerned about cheating.

Hi! Honestly, I forgot about this experiment. If I remember correctly, I ended up removing the price because few people were interested in paying. However, a couple people have donated.

I always point people towards Shaun Spalding and this video seems to be the most up-to-date for learning how to make a platformer

however as mentioned in the video, there are other videos on that channel which may be more suited towards beginners.

I make tutorials myself but haven't covered this topic. I would like to in the future so maybe subscribe https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBmOLRTaPrfOxnTqpCLrwdQ and I will probably get around to it

Awesome game - had loads of fun playing through this with a friend and every character interaction made us laugh. I love how the battle system basically only serves to make sure you've seen enough jokes before you leave an area (or to make you laugh on its own).

Yes! Our musician uploaded it to Bandcamp

Wow, that was very cool! I really liked how your character had an interesting moveset to master. The big problem is that there is only one enemy type and that really makes the game drag after a while. The problem with this jam is that having a highscore feature normally means developers only make arcade games. Unfortunately arcade games survive on variety and when the game doesn't change much, just more enemies, you can't play for too long. Overall it was a really cool concept but it needed more enemies. P.S I liked how the music changed at the end!

Very cool game! What you did well was you had a pretty good vertical slice of gameplay. There were no bugs that I saw, the game progressed fluidly, it was easy to understand and play. I enjoyed the music although the art was a little lacking. If I had one tip for the art it would be to look up and understand the concept of mixels in pixel art. The bad side to the game is that although it was pretty polished it wasn't very deep. There was only one type of enemy that I saw and the game. If you want the player to play for a long time, the game needs to change slightly over the course of the play time. Instead of just getting harder by adding more enemies, there could have been more enemy types, or collectables that you had to move to grab. These are just ideas, overall, great attempt!

Super fun game! I first played on Android after seeing Tom Francis play it and now I have the demo on PC and will probably buy the full version soon. Bc I played Android first I currently have 2 wins and 0 losses - let's see how long I can keep this streak :)

Wow thanks for playing! I might be working on something that you would like soon, hint hint :)

Well thanks for trying anyway!

I mean, yes, it is unoptimized but no one else has had any issues, and definitely nothing this bad. I can only assume its some hardware or browser issue which would be difficult or impossible for me to fix.

Hmm... That's strange, it may be because its a chromebook but if you are able to run a .exe you can download the game. Unfortunately I have no way to release a game on Linux yet.

Well look how many people have played the game so far with no issues. I just want people to have fun playing my game! Thanks for giving it a go btw.

Hi sorry you had this isssue, I promise there is no virus! Try opening the game from within WinRar or another .zip opening software. Let me know if you need more help. :)

Thanks for playing! And thank you for making that cool video, glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks for playing! Yep I will admit I definitely forgot to add any sort of death transition. I'm working on some new stuff (sequel-ish) and I am now aware of this issue.

Thank you for playing the game! Glad you enjoyed it :)

Oh sorry, the page doesn't show your contribution clearly. Don't be discouraged, I just think that you need some more practice within this style as the pixel art was a bit too messy. Try using cleaner shapes and a better colour palette. Good luck.

Thank you, obviously I didn't have time to add more levels, but I actually do have a restart button if you lose the game. Probably should have put that at the end if you win the game, d'oh.
