Probably need to turn up the volume!

Thanks!!

Sorry about the sound issues! I’m glad you were able to enjoy it regardless. If you have a moment, I would appreciate if you could post your OS/browser information so I can fix my code next time :-)

Did you try moving clouds, or perhaps bringing a ladybug dangerously close to Voltaire’s face?

I hope you tried dragging the ants!

Thanks for playing! The mouse is actually part of the puzzle, not a general feedback mechanic. Have you tried offering her different mushrooms yet?

I hope your daughter enjoys it!

“We will prevail. We are more than toasters!” LOL. The companion borg-ess is hilarious. Great game! There were some I couldn’t figure out but those were easy to skip.

Very challenging to balance aiming while trying to keep yourself out of the event horizon! I thought the explosions were vivid and exciting, well done with the particle effects in general.

This is extremely impressive for a first game. You’ve somehow pulled off a surreal, existential horror experience with nothing but some pixels and animated text.

Loved this take on the theme! I was very bad at the game however, and I’m not sure what that says about me as a person.

This could be a pretty solid mobile game - single control, twitch reflexes, plenty of content. The scoring needs a little more juice, think DDR combo meter!

(Just FYI!) Unfortunately this instantly crashes my browser, Google Chrome on latest LTS Ubuntu.

I got to level 12 but I still don’t understand the rules! I tried spelling real words and alphabetical order. Otherwise, the implementation is great - the voice sounding out the weird word at the end is quite amusing.

My eyes…

Reminds me a bit of a liminal Quake. I enjoyed the hand art.

Beautiful, simple, and contemplative! I did not expect to silence a dying probe with the remnants of a black hole today.

It took me a moment to realize I had to press [E] near a planet. Adding a prompt when it’s available would help, and probably wouldn’t detract too much from the visuals.

We created a game for a jam featuring music from this collection, as well as a Bach Invention for the main theme.

The music provides a calming, toy-like atmosphere to the whole game. It’s perfect. Thank you for your art.

Extremely faithful to traditional, retro arcade games - difficulty included. With balance, levels, meta-progression, it could absolutely have a future on Steam, too.

The art, music, narrative, and creativity (especially with respect to the jam theme) are first rate. Send me a link to the Steam release, please.

The overall stage and atmosphere presented by the UI/UX make this entry look professional and way more developed than a mere jam game. I wish the player and enemies were a little detailed.

This is a great gameplay demo-style jam entry. You have great awareness of what the camera should be doing, and I think you used the low-poly assets to great effect.

Definitely reminds me of Portal! Pretty crazy that you did this, including the modeling, in a mere 4 days. Some low-hanging fruit to improve the visuals would probably be the player character’s model, followed by fonts/UI/UX, and a background track.

This game reminds me quite a bit of Tails of Iron! If you add some juice, it’ll probably clarify what parts of combat are most important. But you seem to have nailed weaving the narrative throughout your game already, which is quite difficult. Well done!

Great proof of concept for a party game! I think its success would hinge upon your ability to actually grade people’s voices.

Fantastic jam game. Reminds me of a significantly more advanced form of Solitaire. Next place to go is probably balance, card art, meta progression, etc. It’s easy to see how this game could grow!

The art is stupendous. I felt pretty overwhelmed with the number of keywords and mechanics right away - first thing to improve if you guys choose to continue developing it.

I… didn’t realize you could finish it in a corner. Thanks for the tip.

You’re quite likely the only player with a clean sewer on the home page.

You did the Waffle?! That’s crazy! Well done, and thanks for playing!

Honestly we even considered making the main character a lizard, but unfortunately ran out of time. That’s how right the music feels for Sewer Sam. Thanks again for your art!

Thanks for playing (and joining the stream)! Also, level 9 is the highest level reached by any player so far, which puts you in the elite level of puzzlers this game jam.

SSR is a classic and one of my primary inspirations for puzzle games, so that means a lot. Thanks for playing!

This is a beautifully made game. I would have enjoyed significantly more if making mistakes was just faster. I think, when it comes puzzle games, I really value being able to experiment more quickly.

Art reminds me of Abiotic Factor! It’s basically a digital escape room, and that’s what made it fundamentally enjoyable.

I couldn’t save them :-(

This is a fantastically executed game, I only wish that it had taken a little more creative risk - obviously you guys can handle that from an art and implementation perspective.

Really needed partial failure (hearts, health, etc.) in order to stay engaged. The hitboxes were slightly wonky. However, I can see that you’ve selected a theme with great intention, and executed on that wonderfully. That’s going to make your future games that much better.

Great exploration of a single mechanic, and challenging yourself to work on older platforms with further restrictions is a fantastic way to grow. Well done.

First of all, the art is fantastic and ties in perfectly with gameplay and narrative.

It’s clearly a blend of genres, and that makes it stand out. However, the Minesweeper elements don’t feel actionable enough. Specifically, I felt like I didn’t have enough information to actually decide if there was going to be a mine or not. Another issue I had was the areas would self-clear too quickly, leaving me with little gold.

Otherwise, clearly an arcade gem in-the-making.

Seems to be a unique mix of 2048, Tetris, and a significantly more tactical take on Match-3 games. Haven’t quite played something like it - well done.

Visually, there’s plenty of juice, but I would definitely have gone with a more clear/legible font. Otherwise, maybe the only thing missing is a timer!

I unfortunately crashed shortly after finishing the first level. There was nothing in the browser logs. Otherwise, a brilliant jam entry and worth studying.

I had to zoom my browser in order to fully see the UI. I also felt that an initial level of 3 minutes or so was a tad too long. The art seemed endearing, and the narrative, unfortunately relatable.

This reminds me of Kung Fu chess! I would be interested in seeing units that move over time, rather than instantly teleport to the dragged space - basically bringing movement speed and command priority into the puzzle - so you can develop a strategy where a powerful piece can “sweep”, if timed correctly.

For a jam game, it’s incredibly well polished. I would have used a slightly more legible font, though.
