A cute little game. :) I am glad it is not too long. You could definitely add some complexities to the loop and make it even more addictive! Like, having multiple ponds, feeding fish etc.

Well done!

Haha, this bug is hilarious! Glad you fixed it! Will be giving it a spin then. Thank you for giving Mistwatch a spin too!

A lovely little game. The feel of a jump is unusual, but it feels really crisp and precise. The puzzles are quite good, although some of them really require being quite fast and spot-on. :D

Great visuals and a great puzzler. Well done!

Thanks for trying it out! Yes, it's mostly due to a fairly unbalanced range/cooldown. :D We are also considering letting the units stop for a bit while attacking, but we haven't had the time to experiment with it during the game jam.

Such a cool vibe. I love dithering in any shape or form. :D The game is not too difficult, but I like the atmosphere and the concept. This version could easily serve as a solid foundation for something a bit more complex. :)

As for some critiques, I wish it were more visually clear which doors allow bringing items over and which do not. And maybe the walk speed is a bit too slow.

Great entry, congrats! :)

Thank you very much for taking the time to try Mistwatch out! We are super glad you liked it. :)

Great! I'll have to give it another spin. :)

Thanks for playing our game! :) The game indeed has a gold system, but it's nowhere near being balanced enough. Currently, as you mentioned, archers are the preferred option 99% of the time. Moving forward, we'll tweak the game further and introduce more features as well.

I left a review on your game  - really well done! :)

Quite a unique concept! At first, I was a bit confused about what to do, but once I had overcome the initial hurdle, it became quite enjoyable!

It'd be nice if all (or most of) interactions, even the wrong ones, would produce some effect on the main character instead of just moving you to the next scene (I played only the first act). It'd feel more like you're affecting the scene with your actions instead of simply searching for the correct one.

Really nice job! :)

A crisp experience with nice visuals! :) If I could nitpick, I'd say that some threat indicators would be nice and that maybe getting hit by an asteroid shouldn't put you out of commission for that long. However, this doesn't detract from the fun I had with your game. Great job! :) The planet selection menu is super cool!

A really beautiful game, but I couldn't finish it. I got stumped on the lyrics as I'm 99.9% sure the code is lampshade, but I cannot get it to work. There are some unfortunate bugs with the inventory as well, so I'll be waiting for the post-jam version to give this another try.

Great job nonetheless! :)

Ohh, thank you!

One of the better ideas I've seen during this game jam, and the presentation and humor are on point. Amazing job!

I don't know how you calculate customer satisfaction, but I definitely see room for a smart algorithm that could detect creative uses of stickers and such. (But first, you'll have to be able to remove them. I couldn't figure out if it's possible.)

Amazing!

Great aesthetic, great audio, great puzzle. 3 out of 3.

Good job! :)

I like the model you chose for the main character - super fitting! The environment also quite well captures the setting. :) The game is fun to play, but at times a bit disorienting due to the camera changing its position slightly on a beat. That didn't stop me from reaching the end of the level, though!

Well done! :)

Really addictive game, good job. The vibes remind me of Doom and that's probably not coincidental. :D

I must say I didn't really understand how nails work and when they replenish, and I even had a bug where they constantly switched between 0 and 10 on a whim. It also gets a bit annoying when an enemy spawns right on your path (I guess RNG).

But! This was highly enjoyable. I especially like how the projectiles have travel time. :)

Great entry!

Thank you for playing Mistwatch! :) Balance is not there yet and the game is quite "cheeseable", but then we made sure the last wave is frankly impossible. xD Definitely something to work on.

A lovely idea. I enjoyed playing it, but for sure it is a bit finicky: sometimes you take damage while looping, sometimes you don't, it's not clear how many loops you have to do before getting ammo, etc. Nonetheless, a fun idea. I like how you have to pick up defeated enemies to gain points.

Good job!

Such a wholesome game, great! I wish it were a bit more elaborate when it comes to stitching things up, but it's good nonetheless. The dialogue is also pretty solid, not gonna lie. :D

Well done!

Thank you for the compliments! We are really proud of that specific design intent with extra buildings, and we plan to add many more interesting mechanics similar to that one in the future. :D Glad you liked our game!

The setting is fire! :D If I could change something, it'd be the sound effect for taking damage. It sounds like a rubber toy being squeezed, haha. And, lastly, maybe I'd make it so there are no distinct lanes on the track, but rather free movement.

Great job overall!

Such a cool idea: Splatoon with loops (actually, reminds me of Crash Bash and some minigames there as well) :D I especially like how you can engage the boost to catch your trail before it extinguishes, giving you a larger loop. Not sure if I've missed it, but I think the game would benefit from some upgrades or some objects that could affect your gameplay. For instance, circle a barrel and it explodes, launching drops of your color across the level, etc.

The enemy CPU completely gave up in my match, basically just chilling in the corner. :D

All in all: great idea with great potential for a fun couch game. Well done!

Really enjoyable to play, nice job! If I could change something, I'd make the arrows larger and make sure to better indicate to the player when they change to something else. And, the sound effect for pressing the wrong arrow almost sounds like a sound for doing something right. I'd consider changing it.

But, all in all, a really solid entry and really enjoyable to play. Good job! :)

Haha, thank you so much for the comments! That sound is the sound of smashing a ceramic tile with some filters on top. :D We like how it turned out as well! We have big plans for this game. :)

Thank you for finding time to play our game, that means a lot!

Lovely game! I like how you have to think about both increasing and decreasing your size to solve puzzles. And the music is super cool. :D Good job!

Thank you!!! 😭 We'll definitely be updating the game. We have so many ideas for it! :) Thank you for taking the time to play our game!

Cool game! :D I guess I didn't really understand the system, as I couldn't manage to beat the part with the stone that blocks the path. Nonetheless, I had a good time along the way. :D I collected two notes!

Good job with this entry! :)

A super enjoyable game. One of my favorites from the jam. There's something soothing when you're able to type in the code while you're listening to it. :D

It was a bit complex for me to understand the controls in the sense that the computer takes beeps and IMMEDIATELY transcribes them to letters. For the first few minutes, I didn't know what was happening on the computer screen. Apart from that, it also took me some time to find out you could delete the given input by pressing backspace. But, this is a game jam - the onboarding won't be perfect.

Great job with this one! :)

So cool! It's pretty neat how you are getting in your own way. :D The art style is great as well. If I could change anything, I'd add a roll or something to be able to evade the laser, and I'd add some sound effects.

Great job with this entry! Keep at it! :)

Love the setting! :) I felt like the enemies are a bit too fast and your trail is a bit too short, especially when enemies are spawned near the wall.

Nonetheless, a fun little game! Good job. :)

Such a cool concept and the starting comic is sooo cute. I got stuck and couldn't find the missing collider, but I had lots of fun! Can you loop indefinitely or is there a certain number of rooms? Considering you are not blocked for just going through the doors without repairing anything.

Great entry! :)

Quite fun to play! Good job. :D If I can give a piece of feedback, I'd make it so the wolves don't simply come at you right away (but rather run in between the cows and are trying to attack them or something), as then you can't kill them off immediately and do the lassoing without any danger whatsoever.

Good entry in any case! :)

Damn, I suck at this game. :D Nice concept and job well done for your first game jam! Keep it up! :)

The beginning is a bit too slow for my liking, but once it gets going, it really gets going! I'd maybe add something for the player to do while they're waiting for money. At least allow me to smash the keyboard against the wall. :D

Good job!

This is actually quite difficult, haha. I like the permanent upgrades; they help you a bit in the future runs. As others have mentioned already, jumping near the end of the platform is bugged, and that's the most infuriating part. :D The outside spritework is quite good!

Overall, nice entry! Good job!

The movement is quite good! I wish the environment were a bit more interesting, but a game jam is a game jam. :D Good job!

A reaaaally cool core gameplay loop! Great job! I was never particularly interested in the movement ability one, but that's just me not "gitting gud". :D It's really satisfying when you impale a bunch of enemies with the returning blade.

Really nice!

I thought the game would be too easy, but then I encountered my own trail, haha. Nice job!

Thank you very much for taking the time to try Mistwatch out! :) The game will only get better from this point on :D Glad you like it already at this stage!
