he catches me before i can even move, but luckily i discovered two things:
1) you have BARELY enough time to freeze him with the Scene Effect
and 2) the sala desert doesnt really have anything in it anyways, since once you've been to the crimson dunes via sala you can get back to crimson dunes in other ways
spoilers:
im a bit stuck in the labryinth >> i found the area you can jump up through but thats still a dead end from what i can tell and talking to the woman just instantly kills me
still had a blast! the jump mechanics took a bit to get used to but they turned fun after i got the hang of it
edit: figured it out!
I have made myself a map of what areas connect to others, and I am trying to return to Sala Desert via Golden Resin World -(door standee)-> Theatre -(far left door in back hall)-> Sala Desert
Problem: a chaser demon(?) has spawned in the back hallway of the theater, which I need to go through to get to the doorway that leads to Sala Desert. It seems to have spawned when I originally went through the door to the Sala Desert and then backtracked into the Theater.
I'm assuming the empty closets scattered around the theater are intended to be used to avoid the demon, but the demon moves *so fast* and spawns *immediately* to my left the moment I enter the back hall. This instantly traps me in an enclosed area in the Copper Zoo and i have to pinch my cheek to make up and start all over. I can find no way to avoid it.
According to my own map, I could route instead through Copper World -> Oxidized Passage -> Copper Pipe Maze -> Crimson Dunes -> Sala Desert, but thats a *much* longer path and I'll be bummed if I've accidentally made my normal, shorter path there unusable :(
SUPER cute! i had a blast!!
i ADORE the pixel art and the cat noises, theyre so cute and i genuinely had so much fun taking cute pictures of them
some notes:
- i agree with Doom Ninja below that it would be nice if the game told you *why* a certain photo was the best of the round
- agreeing with Doom Ninja again, a way to see your accumulated cats and accessories would be great
- a way to save photos you personally like would be fun
- by the time i unlocked the tigris lootbox, i had accumulated so many likes i was able to mass buy easily over 50 of them
-- because of my mass buying, combined with the fact that i had an upgrade that idly gave me likes, my likes somehow went negative and was counting down at an INCREDIBLY fast pace?? it finally landed on (positive) 3M so i think it overflowed dsfgljhkb
- the difference between a green upgrade outline (purchasable) and a gold upgrade outline (already bought) is difficult to see, a bigger visual indicator of when an upgrade can be bought would be great
- (extremely minor) there appears to be a positioning issue when a sphinx cat wears an astronaut helmet specifically
i love this game and will continue playing until i max everything
oh gee. umm..
i would love some visual settings for the bloom and lighting, as the lighting makes everything *so* pastel it can be a bit blown out and hard to see.
id also love an endless mode, as i acquired a ceramic cat on my last turn and was bummed when the game ended and i never got to use it, but idk how difficult game balancing would be with that
EXTREMELY fun so far! i love pixel art, crunchy sound effects, and number go up games, so this was perfectly in my range <3
a few small things i noticed:
- i think the player is always layered under the enemies? this ends up looking funny if an enemy spawns on the tile youre standing on or one tile up
- it would be nice is coins were bound by the edge of the screen, though having a good magnet range can help, it can make some coins inaccessible
- once you have enough skins, they extend beyond the bottom of the menu and theres no scroll option
