It's nice to see another puzzle game in the jam! really liked the art and polish for this one, and the levels were great, very well done

Only feedback is that spamming jump can make you double jump (which doesn't seem intentional) but i actually found it nice because it made navigation easier.

thanks dude!
and great feedback for the percentage bar, I think a good way to show how much sand is left is by replacing the percentage by a number of grains of sand, and making the bar decrease instead of increase. That way at the beginning of a level it’s full and you see « 340 grains «

I think you didn't see the jam themed item of candles in my entry. Candles are in fact in the game (check 5th screenshot), they appear a few levels in. Try it and you'll see!

ty!

that was it !

Perhaps adding more verticality to levels could be a good innovation as well

thank you!

I was thinking of maybe putting it on poki if I worked on it some more so I'm glad others think it would fit on sites like it!

sandbox mode is a good idea, maybe even with different materials

Thank you the nice words!

it's sandestiny!

glad you enjoyed

This was a super polished experience, i was especially impressed by the spin mechanic and liked using that a lot hahaha

my only nitpick is that sometimes waiting for the ball to fully stop can be annoying. maybe a "speed up" button could be cool! The rest was basically flawless. Nice use of the themed item as well

Nice game! Played all levels in easy and hard difficulty

I think the gameplay loop is solid, and surprisingly in depth for a 1 button game. Things I liked:

- I like you can either push away from a candle or go around it depending on your timings

- The billboard artstyle is fun, good lighting

- The minimap feature is great

Feedback:

- My main feedback is on the level design. Most levels feel almost identical, only the candle placements change. this makes most levels cheesable in the easy difficulty (since you can just get a good angle on the first candle and zoom to the end. The hard difficulty makes the game a lot more fun and interesting and should be the main mode in my opinion!

- If you want to take this further I'd recommend removing the diffculties and instead making different kinds of candles: a candle that has to be touched, a candle that doesn't need to be touched, a candle that has to be touched twice, a candle that kills you, ect. using these in tandem could make for some cool levels imo.

I enjoyed this entry, I can see this being a very nice one-button mobile game

Love this idea. the different enemies are cool, i could see this being a ncie boss rush game similar to cuphead !

that must be the games sandlicious effects

if you color the sand red in the settings it looks like red velvet cake

I'm glad you think so!

thank you!

I haven't played vampire survivors before but I really enjoyed this:

- I like the concept of getting multiple goblins and cycling through them.

- i'm impressed with how many goblins and enemy variants there are (my fav was grunk!)

- Idk if you've ever played minecraft dungeons but in that game you can enchant weapons (like in your game), and my favorite enchantment is called growing (makes weapons huge), and your game scratched that itch lol

- Nicely implemented candles

- The upgrade tree was very cool

Feedback:

- I wish there were more enemy types (the glowy boss like enemies were nice, i would like more of that)

- I like the idea of having 4 strong goblins, but i like the idea of having 100 weak golbins too (maybe as an additional mode where exp gain is limited but there's no cap to the goblin count?)

- The weapons auto aim, but maybe some of them could aim where I'm facing (like the bow). I get it if you don't agree with this

- I got a bit overpowered at the end, maybe making it so that every 25 levels a random goblin is killed could mix things up?

Overall super fun entry, great job

Interesting idea, this feels like a mish-mash of sidescroller and top down mechanics!

If you want to make this a puzzle game, i agree with the other comment, you should slow down the blocks.

if you want to make this a momentum platformer (which could also be cool) in which the player goes fast with the blocks, you should lean into that and remove the one-room camera system.

At one point i got softlocked because a block got on the ceiling but i could restart :)

nice entry, i was pleasantly suprised by the main mechanic!

Fun little dungeon crawler, i enjoyed dodging the goblins.

I wish there  were more mechanics, like maybe the candle and you being lit and the rest of the level being dark, or springs that make you jump over walls.

still, enjoyable entry :)

thanks! And yes I agree that it could also works as an asmr/ sandbox game

I’ll play yours soon, if you could leave a rating on mine I’d appreciate it (:

sand you

I had to reload the page to make sure I wasn't hallusanding

This feels a lot like a jam entry i made recently in 48h!

I really like the characters, they are surprisingly diverse and fleshed out. I see some people complaining about the long wind-up but I honestly didn't mind it. The gorgeous art throughout the game really made everything pop. I'm always up for some showman action and really enjoyed this take on it.

My only critique is that the gameplay isn't the strongest thing in this entry but imo it doesn't have to be, the minigames serve their purpose of storytelling very well and are quite polished. I liked how the drawings you rejected end up in the 3rd minigame, i wonder what happens if you pin every drawing in the second one haha

I don't have any more feedback I think, it's a great entry with great polish art, music, sfx, humor, and message. Great job you two, very impressive

After playing i can say i enjoyed uncovering the mystery behind the perfectly ethical ALL GREEN(tm) company. This feels like a glimpse of an award winning snail rpg.
Also I laughed when i realized the projectiles were slugs lmao, will their tiny one-pixel eyes

that’s awesome, tysm

You're telling me that the absolute goat big mustard has made another game? I'm gonna have to check this out as soon as i can

Another kingmidis gem. Your polish improves with every one of these

You can use scratch. Use https://packager.turbowarp.org to convert your game to hmtl

I played this when i was checking out entries from this jam (i have friends who participated in it), and had no idea it was from the same dev as trash bot! I really enjoyed it, it's kind of crazy you managed to make something this polished so fast

Thanks insandio! I’ll dm it to you

drag and dropping should work

There is a known bug that’s due to some browsers that make it difficult though, but I can’t really do anything abt it

Surprisingly fun, like a more polished and involved version of that simon toy

I can definitely see this project being improved tenfold by actually allowing you to fight other people in food battles, because right now the enemies are just a bit decorative. Maybe that could be implemented via online matchmaking, but i know that‘s extremely hard to do and not at all feasible in the context of this jam lol

I really like the sounds and the goofy character designs, they are very charming

Cool entry!

the game looks great, you should consider making a better thumbnail, perhaps using the logo you made and one of the screenshots.

The king has cooked yet again

You really mastered this bullet hell style from you pgma entries. Really fun. Main feedback is that there should be less cooldown/indicator of your cooldown for your dash.

Good luck in the jam

This game is likely in my top 3 jam entries ever. you guys crushed it
feedback:

- adding flavor text when a homing missile hits a target, i couldn't tell if they even worked

-  it‘s hard to see the sea in the later levels, increase reflection maybe?

- regaining all of your health after dying and respawning at the last wave doesnt really make sense imo. i don‘t think there‘s any real difficulty in clearing one wave, and knowing you‘ll respawn with full hp if you die doesnt make the stakes that high. After i clear a wave i can just die, regain full hp, and continue. I support the decision of not making you restart the whole mission, especially in the context of a jam but i feel like there could be a better way to respawn the player when they die.

- make sharks spawn from the ocean. It was my top priority t destroy the shark carriers whenever i saw them, so i never got to experience the sharks. and i wasn't going to just let them be there lol.

I consider these nitpicks in an amazing, juicy, stylish, and extremely entertaining entry. I‘m only pointing these out because everything else is basically flawless. It was fun to see the game being developed and getting to this stage. well done

woo

Tysm, i appreciate it

that is an insane score lol

Thank you! I‘m happy you had fun with the playtest.

I appreciate the fact that you took the time to fill out the feedback form too

thanks for the nice comment! I agree that most games that mention flappy bird on here are probably low quality, but that’s probably due because it’s the dev first project or practice

Getting all the blocks is probably not realistic for a first playthrough haha

This is just a playtest and more things are to come :)

thanks for playing! I think I should be able to solve that pretty easily. For now, the windows version runs much smoother than browser :)
