I would love to work more on this, so I may very well come back to it at some point. I have a ton of other projects to finish first tho, so that may take a while ahah

Yup totally agree, it's not ideal. For the game jam, I wanted to make sure it's obvious enough when you are looking for it, even if it meant that it was a little too obvious from the start. Also, it's indeed a little bit awkward to ask players to convert into base 6, then immediately show something that looks like hexa but it's not. Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you liked it!
Thanks! It's been a while so I don't recall exactly, but I believe it's marching cubes to generate a mesh based on some noises. Tho I think there are better ways to do that, it did work great. You can check the source code here if you want more details: https://github.com/AntoineCollot/PinguinManagement/tree/master/Assets/Scripts.
Great game! Everything works together really nicely and is really well done. Audio is really good. The feeling of being backstage with the see through is neat.
I whish acts would be checkpoints cause that made so much sense, it's the perfect time to have one. Right when it gets too tedious to redo everything. Also small detail: The ♾️ in the logo does not really work, I think painting the full O in bright yellow (no shadow) then keeping the shadow on the bottom of the N (second O) would make it read more like ON.
Great job!
Really amazing game! Graphics are cool and works with the gameplay, and the level design is well made. The concept is really cool and the best take on the theme I've seen until now (I mean, the idea isn't revolutionary but the way it's implemented here make it work much better than other game of the genre). Maybe having a quick slide in between displacements would make the ghosts look cooler, especially when there are many of them.
The esapce the loop end is really fun! Congrats!
Yeah I can totally see that being an issue. I voluntarily broke the rule of "let the player get back asap to the action" to focus on the nostalgia effect with the console booting and such (seeing the same fucking logo way too many time was part of the experience).
I would be very interested in turning it into a clean, polished and well balanced 1 or 2 hours game actually. That said I have already side projects of side projects, so it's gonna take a while ahah.
Fun take on the theme! It's a little bit weird to use gamepad symbols to use on keyboard, I was a little confused at first. Gameplay works well otherwise.
Please avoid using copyrighted materials in the futur tho. The reference to guitar hero is fun, but you can't use their logo/font.
Great job still!
Simple but cool game! Playing against past you is fun, great idea! It would have been nice if it were easier to figure out where you are in the city (more memorable spots), so that you can remember where you were and when, to avoid yourself. It would have been cool if you made more assets yourself, to add more of your own personality to the game. Tho "55sec before deadline" was quite tight ahah, good job!
Cool game! It's fun, it has it's own mood, and levels are interesting. Controls are a bit tough, it's sometimes hard to execute what you I had in mind (for puzzles games, you usually want your player to perform the task easely once figured it out). Post process is great, maybe just a tad over the top.
Small tips: for typewritting in Unity (with TextMeshPro), don't write the text letter by letter. Instead, change the maxVisibleCharacter property over time. It would prevent words starting to be typed on a line then falling suddently onto the next one.
Audio is good, art is great. The idea is quite nice, I like your take to make it a very calming game. Idk how deep the gameplay is on replay, but really it doesn't matter given your direction and because it's a jam, so even if it were fairly random it's perfect. It's mostly lacking feedbacks. I guess it comes from lack of time from the programming side, but small effects to show what just happened would both sell the visuals and the gameplay better. It's also a bit of a shame that we never get to see the beautiful cards fully, maybe just placing them highter would have helped a bit.
Ahah glad to hear that! Yeah 886 looked like a great idea on the moment, but really it could have been much better. Even then I had better ideas, that for some reasons I didn't went for. I should have saved more time for playstests to spot the issue (I mean, save time for playtest at all would be a start). Thanks for playing!
For the code, it is indeed a bit annoying on keyboard, but I assumed people would use thir digits keys or numpad (which works). Thats why I focused on making the menu to work well on gamepad. Tho now that I think about it, its not obvious that you could enter numbers directly. I should have added a tuto in game :(
Yeah base 6 puzzle I kind of regret. I assumed people would use an app online to do the conversion (a bit like a crypted message), but actually it would have been more fun to have it doable by head easily once you figured it out (something like 0009=0013).
I'm glad you liked it, thanks for playing!
Nice music and nice arts!
It has some cool gameplay ideas. I love the sideways spinning wheels. The loop mechanic is kind of frustrating given that the game is hard. For this to work better, it should easy once you know what to do (like very easy, cause restarting cause you jumped a bit too far is annoying). This said, it's easier said than done, my own game is probably much harder than nescessary as well ahah.
Congrats!
The city looks really nice, the little construct animation is great too. Gameplay wise I really struggled to understand how to put things down (it's not that obvious that the background layers are actually walkable as well). Now that I figured it out (I think), I still sometimes can't place a ladder where I want to so I'm a bit confused. I may be dumb but I think some feedback (gizmos to show where things can be placed, or cursor changing, etc.) would help a lot here.
Very nice game! It's really fun to play, levels are very interesting and there are quite a bunch of them. The main mechanic is hilarious and well made.
There are two very small details that bothered me, the back of the cat is a little glitchy visually, it's a shame given how well everything else is polished. Also I would have loved a feedback when charging the dash.
Really fun! The idea is so interesting, and perfectly in theme for me. The character is beautiful and the grow animation is perfect. The killig with blood everywhere is neat. The shockwave mechanic is a cool idea to feel good at the end. The only thing missing is obviously the walk cycle of enemies. Amazing game!
