Breed of the Brudenels

Henry Matthew Brock (11th July, 1875- 21 July 1960) illustrations for Breed of the Brudenels from Knockout. H. M. Brock had another famous illustrator for a brother: Charles Edmund Brock (5 February 1870 – 28 February 1938). Peterina (below) featured artwork by Richard Henry Brock (1897-1915) although what, if any, relationship he was to the brothers I couldn't tell.

H. M. Brock (1875-1960)

The London Reader was launched by George Stiff on May 18, 1863 and ran to 2088 numbers until May 9, 1903. Stiff died in 1874 and I'm not sure who took over as proprietor. These illustrations from an 1899 serial “Brown as a Berry,” caught my eye both for quality and for the signature, H. M. B. This was a very famous book illustrator, Henry Matthew Brock (1875-1960).
