IJIDI Awards

The IJIDI Global Engagement Awards* are conferred yearly to recognize the global engagement of outstanding papers for The International Journal of Information, Diversity, & Inclusion (IJIDI).

Papers are recognized in the following categories: Research Papers, Conceptual/Theoretical Papers, Literature Reviews, Reports-from-the-Field, and Creative Contributions, as applicable per publication year.

Methodology: Each category is given equal weight and is scored based on the highest number of file views, downloads, PlumX metrics, and social media engagement for all papers published in each applicable category for the calendar year, which culminate to convey global readership. Results are tallied, and the top two papers are determined per category, as applicable. IJIDI Editors then select the winners based on the additional following criteria:

  • Originality and novelty of the topic.
  • Global relevancy of the topic.
  • Quality and rigor of the research, reportage, and presentation.

Starting in 2024, the IJIDI Global Engagement Awards will be announced on the 3rd Friday of November of every year to recognize outstanding papers' global engagement a year after their publication.

* In 2023, the IJIDI refined its awards to be more reflective of its global readership.
