David Gallo is a housing industry innovator, creating safe, quality, affordable homes for veterans, seniors, domestic violence survivors, individuals with disabilities and workforce families across New York State. Since its co-founding by Gallo in 2012, Georgica Green Ventures has developed more than 1,600 affordable units for New York families, totaling $1 billion in value and built and designed to the highest standards.  

Visionary stakeholders have collaborated with Gallo and Georgica Green Ventures on multiple housing developments, which include Coney Island’s comprehensive post-Superstorm Sandy development plan with Surf Vets Place and Raven Hall, Southampton’s Sandy Hollow Cove, Laurel Homes in Roslyn Heights and East Hampton’s The Green at Gardiner’s Point, which is nearing completion.

Gallo has received awards from NYSAFAH, Vision Long Island, the National Development Corporation and the Italian American Museum. He has also been honored by Erase Racism, the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County, Long Island Progressive Coalition, New York State Association of Affordable Housing and the Boys & Girls Club of Glen Cove.

After graduating with honors from Fordham University, Gallo went on to earn a master’s degree with honors from New York University. He also graduated from Harvard University Graduate School of Design’s advanced management and development program in real estate.

Gallo received the award for the Top Smart Growth Project from LIBN for Riverview Lofts. He was also named one of New York’s 10 Rising Stars in real estate by City & State New York.

Gallo lives on Long Island with his wife and their two daughters.
