Heaviside’s full-service communications firm consistently delivers high-powered visibility and credibility for clients and helps them to manage sensitive issues and crises that could damage their business. She and her team develop and implement marketing communications strategies to help clients meet various goals, such as increasing market share for their products and services, building support for their growth strategies, enhancing their reputations or overcoming crises. Under her direction, Epoch 5 was awarded the Public Relations Society of America’s coveted Silver Anvil Award and Mercury Award as well as the Public Relations Professionals of Long Island’s award for Best PR Campaign.

Heaviside has published articles in national magazines, been quoted in major daily newspapers, appeared on national television and radio and presented seminars on marketing and public relations throughout the United States.

Active in the professional community, Heaviside serves on the executive board of the Long Island Association and is a former board member of North Fork Bank. She has also served on the executive board of the United Way of Long Island, board of trustees of Huntington Hospital, quality review board of Stony Brook University Hospital, a member of the Regional Plan Association and chair of the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce.
