Heaviside has published articles in national magazines, been quoted in major daily newspapers, appeared on national television and radio and presented seminars on marketing and public relations throughout the United States.
Active in the professional community, Heaviside serves on the executive board of the Long Island Association and is a former board member of North Fork Bank. She has also served on the executive board of the United Way of Long Island, board of trustees of Huntington Hospital, quality review board of Stony Brook University Hospital, a member of the Regional Plan Association and chair of the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce.
