Shephard "Fiction" Lima is a Falco and Fox player from Southern California. He was ranked 24th in SSBMRank 2024 and 1st in the SoCal Summer-Winter 2025 Power Rankings.
Biography
[edit]Fiction was originally a professional Brawl player, where he placed top 8 at GENESIS in Brawl, and was considered one of the best Wario players in Brawl. In 2013, he switched to Melee.
After a 17th place finish at his first major tournament in EVO 2013, he broke out in 2014 with a 7th place finish at Apex 2014, eliminating players such as KoreanDJ and MacD along the way.
He has multiple set wins over Mew2King (including eliminating him at Do You Fox Wit It?) and consistently finishes in the top 8 at the Super Smash Sundays biweekly events held in SoCal.
Originally a solo Fox main, he began playing Marth more in part due to a hand injury, and later announced his intent to use Marth almost exclusively, falling back on his original Fox for certain unfavourable situations.[1]
After a long hiatus from the scene Fiction returned to competitive Melee as a Fox main in 2018, and took sets over top players such as Wizzrobe, S2J, AbsentPage, KJH, Rishi, Captain Faceroll, Drephen, and Drunksloth. Fiction finished the year with a rank of 28 on the MPGR 2018. He only had an upwards trajectory after that, as he was ranked 12th on 2019 rankings.
He joined Poilon Software on February 10, 2020.[2] He parted ways with Poilon Software sometime in August 2020. He joined 69% Apparel on February 25, 2022.[3].
