Terms of Service

These Terms govern the Loafstead website, Discord community, newsletter, feedback form, and Twitch chat integration. They do not govern the game software itself — that is covered by the EULA and the Steam Subscriber Agreement.

1. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude any consumer guarantees, rights, or remedies under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, any equivalent European Union consumer protection directive, or any other mandatory consumer protection law that cannot be excluded by contract in your jurisdiction.

You must be at least 13 years old to use these services. If you are between 13 and 18, you may only use these services with the involvement or consent of a parent or guardian.

The Loafstead name, logo, game assets, and website content are the intellectual property of Gak Dev Pty Ltd. You may not reproduce or distribute these materials without our written permission.

User submissions: when you submit feedback, bug reports, or suggestions, you grant Gak Dev Pty Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide licence to use and incorporate your submission, without compensation. You retain ownership of your submission but waive any claim that Loafstead incorporates ideas you submitted.


5. Newsletter

By subscribing to the Loafstead newsletter, you consent to receive email communications about Loafstead. Each newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You may also email hello@loafstead.gg to be removed. We will not send commercial electronic messages without your consent, in accordance with the Australian Spam Act 2003 and the US CAN-SPAM Act.


6. Twitch chat integration (streamers)

If you connect your Twitch account to Loafstead, you are enabling your viewers to interact with the game via chat commands. As the streamer, you are the data controller for your viewers' interactions. You are responsible for informing your audience that Loafstead processes numeric viewer identifiers to route chat commands.

Gak Dev Pty Ltd acts as a data processor for viewer sender IDs, solely to route commands. You may disconnect the integration at any time from the in-game menu.


7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

These services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law (and subject to Clause 1 — your mandatory consumer rights are not limited):

These services interact with Discord, Twitch, Steam, Cloudflare, and Buttondown. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those platforms. Your use of them is governed by their respective terms.


9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via an in-game notice, a Steam News post, or a banner on loafstead.gg before the changes take effect.


10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Nothing in this clause affects any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
