This sort of gunk and friction comes with the territory for trying to monetize based on copyright—that’s what the second question is: how can we make art free and unburdened by gunk and friction. This second question is so hard to even see for most of us since we’re not used to truly free culture, at least outside of nerd pursuits like Linux, Wikipedia and D&D.

One drawback of POSSE is that you’re bolstering the value of the silos. Instagram grows more powerful with your pictures on it and GitHub thrives on your repos.

Wow! This ended up working klockrent with a Ren’py game I got years ago in one of those social causes bundles on itch. I don’t have a Mac so I can’t compile & sideload stuff on my own for iPad so having a friend with Xcode helps tremendously. (I should set up a Hackintosh maybe, if that’s even possible 2024.) It also sucks that it also only works for a year.
