J.A. DeSève as he is usually known, founded FranceFilm a film distribution company, owned a large theater in Montréal called Théâtre St-Denis and set up in 1961 the first private french speaking TV station in Canada called Télé-Métropole which became the TVA network. He set up a foundation.
