I was born in Glendora, California, into a family whose roots carry both strength and survival. On my father's side, I am Native American Apache, the third granddaughter of Chief Geronimo through my grandmother, and Jewish with Spanish heritage through my grandfather. On my mother's side, I also carry the heritage of the Miwok people and Apache. This diverse background shaped not only my identity but also the deep storytelling and spiritual traditions that inspire everything I do today.
Raised by my grandparents, who believed in me and nurtured my talents, I grew up surrounded by both love and challenge. My grandmother instilled wisdom and strength, while my grandfather introduced me to the creative world of film and television. Through their guidance, I began working in commercials and films at a young age, developing a passion for acting, storytelling, and the arts that would follow me throughout my life.
As I grew, life brought hardships-losses, struggles, and painful lessons-but I never gave up. I survived storms that might have broken others because I believed God was always with me. Those experiences became the foundation of my resilience and the stories I now share to inspire and uplift others.
Today, I wear many hats: actress, model, writer, director, casting agent, talent manager, acting coach, and philanthropist. I founded Nenice's Casting, and Southwest Intensive Acting, giving opportunities and guidance to actors of all ages. I also created the Helping Families Foundation, dedicated to supporting children, families, and young adults in need.
Family is at the heart of everything I do. I am the proud mother of two amazing children, Junior and Destiny Pearl Salgado, both talented writers, directors, and filmmakers, as well as a grandmother to the next generation of storytellers. Together, we have built a family-centered creative legacy through projects like Illusory, El Travieso, and El Soldado, as well as numerous books and films designed to inspire, educate, and uplift.
I write stories for children, teens, and adults, blending truth, history, faith, and imagination. From tales of Native American heritage to books on mental health and faith, I believe in the power of storytelling to heal, educate, and change lives.
Above all, my journey is about resilience, creativity, and giving back. I want every child and adult who feels broken, lost, or unseen to know they are loved, they are strong, and they can rise above any storm.
