Scarlett Islas is an award-winning director, actress, writer, and multi-hyphenate artist known for defying convention and bridging the worlds of art and engineering. A first-generation Mexican American, Scarlett's cultural roots and lived experiences have shaped her bold, non-linear journey.
Before stepping into the world of film, Scarlett built a career as an Eddy Current Array Specialist in the petrochemical and aerospace industries. Her technical mindset and hands-on expertise remain a defining part of who she is-bringing structure, precision, and problem-solving to every project she touches.
In 2022, Scarlett found her calling in acting, landing a supporting role in a short film that sparked a deep love for storytelling. That passion led her behind the camera, where she created her debut documentary Changing Lives: The Acting Class That Changed Everything-a spiritually grounded and emotionally raw film that earned a Bronze Telly Award.
In 2024, she founded Rebellatrix Anima Productions (Rebellious Soul), a creative studio committed to empowering artists and honoring stories that heal. Scarlett is currently working at RMS, expanding her technical acumen, while writing her first novel to explore storytelling through a literary lens.
Scarlett doesn't believe in following a script-she writes her own.
