Sophie Darlington(I)

Sophie is an Award-Winning UK based Filmmaker & Cinematographer specialising in natural history who has been making blue chip wildlife feature films and television for over 25 years. She is also an occasional Presenter/Witness Camerawoman for programmes including the BBC's SpringWatch series & a guest speaker at conferences & fundraisers. Sophie won a BAFTA for her cinematography in 2016 for The Hunt (BBC) and was accepted as a BAFTA Member in 2018 .

Experienced as a self-shooting DP Sophie has an outstanding reputation for long lens work, beautiful composition, high speed and anticipation of animal behaviour. She has worked on feature films for Disney Nature, BBC Earth and The Discovery Channel and television series for Netflix, The BBC and National Geographic amongst others. Sophie has worked happily in extreme and remote locations throughout Africa, The Americas, Antarctica and Asia on a wide variety of cameras and formats.

In 2020-21 Sophie has been DP (with Justine Evans) and part of the Senior Creative team on a new landmark series for National Geographic, Queens & projects for The BBC & other production companies worldwide.
