This film is a real piece of art
Is there someone made for you ? If you don't believe in this yet, you better watch this film.It takes place on a theater stage, where the play and the reality mix up to show the genius of the director. Honestly, it is one of the best Indian films (of witch I am actually a fan)that I saw. Trust me, you will love the music, the dance, and many other things. But most of all, you will change your opinion about a great thing called : LOVE . You will have answers on questions about the borders between friendship and love .. I will not say more than one statement : if you didn't see the film yet you can't be a fan of love stories. This film is worth some hours from you life , so try to see it today ..
songs made my heart go crazy
First of all, this is a commercial bollywood movie and so if you looking for a classy-art-flick then this ain't for you. The songs are very good and can't choose a single best one as they all are. The choreography dance sequence between Lolo and Maduri is something to look for. The camera-work is an eye candy and of course the movie sets. Lolo's role was memorable and no wonder she was presented the silver lotus. Madhuri was pleasing with her beautiful dance steps and of course with her smile. SRK (one of the best entertainer) will keep you charmed throughout the movie. I loved the theme that has such beautiful message. AK was well supportive with his screen presence. . The few sentimental scenes near the climax were annoying and director could've edited it out and the movie could've been made shorter at least by half an hour.
fantastic film,my all time favourite
Dil to pagal hai is a fantastic film. Its my all time favorite.I like the films directed by Mr. Yash Chopra and among them its the best one. Since the year it released i.e. 1997 no other film has been like this to me till now. My extreme liking for DTPH is because of following reasons.. ->Its tag line i.e someone somewhere...is made for you. ->Its story line and Yash Chopra's perfection as a director. ->Its superb music by Uttam Singh and Lata Mangeshkar's melodious duets with Udit Narayan.I love its songs; and Lata's voice seems to be fresher(even more than old songs of her) ->Uttam singh's background instruments rock whenever i listen to the numbers. ->Shahrukh Khan's first performance in which he did not stammer and did not deliver dialogs in the way like he earlier used to.He was very serious and his acting was quite, calm and mature. For the same reason he got several awards for this film. ->Madhuri's performance was great and so was of Karisma. Both got awards and Karisma also got a well deserved Rashtriya Puraskar(National Award). ->I love its screenplay specially in the scenes having an acting stage within the film.(See its climax to confirm what i said.) MUST SEE IT AFTER READING MY COMMENTS IF YOU ARE NOT AGREE WITH ME.
Beautiful
The moivie is very nice, and wonderful work. Nice story and nice way to show that love does exists some where for every one. I hope there is someone for me too like Rahul. The movie title is good too, and the characters are really unique. The characters that Yash Chopra is trying ot show us do exist in real world, and we all look for the 'certain someone' for us just as Mathuri (Pooja) does. We do find the perfect match for us but it's up to us to figure it out if they are really the person that god made for us. Good movie, and nice songs.
overlong and sluggishly paced musical, but with very melodious songs
This film is a pleasant watch at least for fans of long Bollywood romances. Directed by Yash Chopra, its basically a long love triangle between Shahrukh, Karishma and Madhuri, with a brief cameo appearance by Akshay Kumar. The songs make the movie. They are melodious and well choreographed, specially the competition between Karishma and Madhuri. The main drawback - an overlong plot and sluggish pace in the second half. The film wants to be a feel-good romance complete with flowers and chocolates but it outstays its welcome by at least half an hour. Watchable on DVD/television.
