When I saw the first ad for Shasta McNasty, I thought that it looked stupid. Then, I watched the first episode and I was still laughing after it finished. The acting was fantastic, the sets were very cool, and my favorite character was Vern, played by Verne Troyer a.k.a. Mini Me from the second Austin Powers movie. I really liked this show and I was very disappointed that UPN cancelled it. I hope that they bring it back one day.
When I read some of the reviews for this show (man, they were bad) I thought it was going to suck. But when I saw it for myself I couldn't stop laughing. I love that they had a friend who happened to be a little guy. It was fun to watch Verne Troyer play a regular character and not that mini-me crap. I also liked the romance between Scott and Diana, she was pretty sexy. I wish there were more shows that took a chance like this one did.
Having recently been introduced to Shasta McNasty on Sky TV in England I am fascinated to find out how long the series has run for in the states as this is possibly one of the funniest shows from America to reach our shores in recent years. It is only a few weeks into the show and I can't wait to see the next episode in a weeks time. The acting is brilliant especially from Jake Busey who is always top in his films.
The best new show of the season, "Shasta Mc Nasty" may very well be one of the funniest sitcoms of recent years. I've always been a fan of Jake Busey and I think he has finally found his vehicle with this outrageous, undefinable instant classic, and the other cast members are equally fantastic.
Avoid this show at all costs if you are not looking for an over the top, irreverent romp that packs more laughs per minute than the best of the Marx Brothers' films, a comedy team which the Shasta boys resemble quite a bit.
I urge people to watch and support this show before it is too late, as I fear this film may be too outrageous and ahead of its time to survive on Network TV.

A completely under-rated show. Now called "Shasta" for some reason - probably because the "McNasty" part was turning off too many people (like me). This show is every bit as funny as "The 70s Show" and "Futurama". I always find myself laughing out loud at something. I really hope it gets renewed for another year. Anyone who likes to laugh owes it to themself to watch this show at least once. The addition of Vern as a major character is great. He is a complete riot. Jake Busey is stellar every show too - as is the entire cast.
