Cute and likable despite being silly and politically incorrect

This film was about Deuce Bigalow in the liberal Amsterdam to find the killer of man whores. Through the process, he was in for some culture shock and some man whoring.

The plot was silly and very politically incorrect. There were plenty of gross moments, such as vomiting wine through a tracheostomy hole or eating chips submerged in the toilet bowl.

However, I did not stop laughing throughout the film because Rob Schneider was so funny. He gave Deuce Bigalow a cute and innocent charm which was important in making Deuce Bigalow likable. The film was good for some light and non serious entertainment.

Shutdown Your Brain and Start Laughing

After an accident with dolphins and elders on a beach, the clumsy fish tank cleaner and former gigolo Deuce Bigalow (RobSchneider) is invited by his pimp friend T.J. Hicks (Edie Griffin) to travel to Amsterdam where he is presently living. Once there, T.J. Hicks is wrongly taken as a whore-men serial killer. Bigalow joins the gigolo's association trying to find the true identity of the murderer and clean TJ Hicks. Meanwhile, he meets the gorgeous Eva (Hanna Verboom), and while dating her, he suspects that she may be the wanted killer.

"Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo" is politically incorrect, rude, gross but also hilarious and extremely funny. There are many jokes with the stereotype and clichés of the behavior of Americans, Dutchmen and Europeans in general. The wonderful Amsterdam is mostly shown in the prostitution area of the Red Light Zone District and some bars where the consumption of drugs are free. There are many jokes also with the behavior of tourists. This movie would be never nominated to an Oscar, but deserved the "Man-Whore Award". This movie is a great entertainment for non-conceited people that accept jokes with stereotypes and like this type of humor. Otherwise, do not spend your time. My vote is seven.

Title (Brazil): "Um Gigolô Europeu Por Acidente" ("An European Gigolo by Accident")

Funnier, but not as good as the first.

I loved 'Deuce Bigalow:Male Gigolo.'Even though the sequel was much funnier than the first,I can't admit that it was as good as the first.Sure, there were more funnier moments in it,but the first had more potential. The plot is basically the same as 'Male Gigolo',only it takes place in Amsterdam.Rob Schneider and Eddie Grifin return to their same roles as in the first.Rob Schneider plays Deuce Bigalow and Eddie Griffin plays TJ the man-whore.So you can tell that there's a good cast in this movie, since those are the only actors that I know in the movie. There's more gross-out humor and inappropriate dialouge than the first, which basically keeps the movie flowing.

Bottom line? This is a worth-watching comedy that fans of the first movie will enjoy.

Baaam!! feel my p hand!!... ha-ha, so bad that it's good...

I will not even bother to tell this movie's story because it really doesn't matter. What does matter though is that this movie can be so damn funny if you're in the right mood, after 4-5 beer or so that is. It's shameful to admit but this movie is actually funnier than the first one because it's so over-the-top. And this dutch babe is hot too. One of the funniest moments have Schneider make a speech in front of all the man heeers just to be thrown out of the window promptly. Another funny sequence is when Schneider and his buddy attend a Coffee shop.

With lines like "Kaizer, get back to your work" or "why is it called Space cake?" this movie is totally hilarious in all its stupidity.

One of the worst movies of all time but also one of the funniest!

See it and laugh your balls off! :D

    What did you expect?

All right, so this isn't Oscar material. I don't think any movie with "Deuce Bigalow" in the title is going to claim award buzz. But there were a few belly laughs in a short 80-or-so-minute picture. The women were hot. Some were nude. And come on, you wondered how many variations of "man-whore" and "peruvian volcano" the writers could come up with. This isn't a great movie, but it was decent. And that actress who played Deuce's love interest - wow! Get her in Playboy! Six stars. No, it's probably not worth that many in the grand scheme. But for what this movie was trying to be, it deserves six. Sit back and watch while drunk/stoned. You can't beat Adam Sandler's production crew for pure gross-out humor and, of course, Rob Schneider. Whatever happened to "The Sensitive Naked Man" and "Spontaneous Orgasm Guy"? Man, if SNL only had stuff like that nowadays.

    Edit
    • Trivia
Happy Madison Productions moved the film to Columbia Pictures to produce the sequel due to creative differences with Touchstone Pictures. The Walt Disney Company (Touchstone's parent company) wanted a PG-13 sequel while Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider wanted it to be R-rated like Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo (1999).
    • Goofs
Eva cannot touch doorknobs supposedly, but in the montage of Deuce going out on a date with her, she clearly opens the door and touches the doorknob.
    • Quotes

T.J. Hicks: Did you know Holland invented chicken and waffles?

      Deuce Bigalow: Really?

T.J. Hicks: Before that you could get chicken or waffles, but they were the first to put them together! Black people all over the world will be forever grateful to the Dutch for that.

Deuce Bigalow: You know the Dutch started the slave trade.

      T.J. Hicks: THOSE MOTHER FUCKERS!
