Being one of 101 takes its toll on Patch, who doesn't feel unique. When he's accidentally left behind on moving day, he meets his idol, Thunderbolt, who enlists him on a publicity campaign.Being one of 101 takes its toll on Patch, who doesn't feel unique. Let's face it, the first was revolutionary as well as a classic all-time, this one, well, let's just say it's not as good, but it's still pretty entertaining, even though the story was a bit like the first one. All in all, this is certainly in my top 5 in terms of Disney pre / mid /sequals.
Great. I think that Patch's story tells the story of anyone in the world who's wanted to be special. Cruella was at her best here in "London Adventure", just as she was in the original One-Hundred and One Dalmatians and the '96 remake. Lars was purely golden. When I saw this movie, it was awesome. Thunderbolt was unique, and Little Lightning was hilarious.
It is sweet, really.
Patch was always my favourite Dalmation pup, and he is just too cute in this movie.
It's funny in parts, too. I think the voice-work is really well done, as well as the animation.
It's predictable in some parts, but hey, so was the original which was great! So, I think this was a really well done sequel.
I gave it 7/10. It's not as good as the original. But it's not bad y'know. Not bad.
It's a film I'd recommend 'dog-film' fans for sure. Total puppy cute.

The plot is decent and the animation is good; I recommend it to children and fans of the first movie.
101 Dalmatians 2: Patch's London Adventure (2002) is a movie my daughter and I watched together on Disney+. The storyline follows one of the 101 Dalmatians, Patch, on another adventure to rescue his family from Cruella Deville and her thief partners. This time Patch will be aided by his TV super hero friend, Thunderbolt, who has some lessons to learn along the way himself. This movie is codirected by Jim Kammerud and Brian Smith, who also codirected Little Mermaid 2, and contains the voices of Martin Short (Three Amigos), Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), Barry Bostwick (Rocky Horror Picture Show) and Susanne Blakeslee (The Fairly Odd Parents). The storyline for this picture is fun in a made for kids kind of way. I did like that the animation style felt very similar to the original in many ways. The Thunderbolt character and depiction was well done and entertaining. Overall this is a fun family film that is far from a classic but your children will enjoy. I would score this a 5.5/10 and recommend seeing it once.

- Trivia(at around 20 mins) Jock, from Lady and the Tramp (1955), again returns in the 101 Dalmatians films. In One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961), he was an ally of the Twilight Bark. Jock appears as an auditioning dog for the "Thunderbolt" show.
- GoofsBoth Pongo and Patch incorrectly state that there are 101 puppies. Actually there are only 99 puppies. Cruella De Ville, Jasper and Horace state this correctly.
- Crazy creditsDuring the credits, between each card, there is a newspaper ad.
