    Poor story and cast

This episode goes nowhere -even the pre-credits tease is nothingness without action or danger. The boring story has Pat hired by the American embassy in London to track a woman employee who may be involved with Commie agents. Drake's behavior on the assignment is heavy-handed as usual, but not believable, and the show is all talk until the busier (but phony) finale.

Set in London, Venice and Zagreb, but shot in the studio, the dreary tale ends with a poorly edited "happy ending" that is quite amateurish. No-name cast is headed by minor American actress Jeanne Moody, who is well-built but unimpressive. Single plot twist involving a surprise evil character near the end is stupid.

oh goodness, another stupid idiotic woman!

Oh goodness, another stupid idiotic woman!

She also a bad actress so it makes it worse.

I give this episode 7 out of 10 rating.

Still worth watching as the story has potential and Patrick McGoohan saves the episode from being a total bore.

    • Trivia
A sign at the border crossing reads "PÁSOSKA KONGROLA". This might be a made-up language, but it is reminiscent of "pasoske kontrole" or "kontrola pasosa", which in Serbo-Croatian-Bosnian mean "passport control".
    • Goofs
The end credits mistakenly list character Gino, Beth's fiancé, as "Gina."
    • Quotes

Beth Warren: What do you imagine? Do you think I'm running away to the other side?

John Drake: Not necessarily, but Gino, or friends of Gino's, could have plans to abduct you. You know, Miss Warren, when he looks into your eyes, he might be trying to get a peep at all those top secrets stored up there.

Beth Warren: You have a twisted mind, Mr. Drake.

John Drake: That's what they pay me for.
