Too Much Drama and Stupidity

Where do we even start. Kerry is getting to be more of a caricature than a character. She's almost robotic.

The continuing business between Carter and Abby is flat out tiresome. It would seem that if there is an alcohol problem it has not manifested itself in the ER. Even when she's away, she seems to hold back. The alcoholics I know (and I've known a lot of them) drink incessantly. Abby needs to be a better alcoholic for Carter to get so worked up.

Luka is like a stud stallion. Has he no control? A guy who saves lives can't keep his pants on.

And the new guy. He is told to act like a man. It's not his manhood--it's his lack of experience. So punching someone out is the answer.

Katherine LaNasa guest stars in this episode, as the mother of a young patient who hooks up with Luka in a supply closet. Katherine goes on to play Dana, the Charge Nurse at Pittsburg Hospital, in the TV show "The Pitt" (2025), which stars Noah Wyle as main character Dr Robby. In this episode of ER, County Hospital is without a Charge Nurse since Haleh resigned from the position (previously taking over from Carol), so Dr Weaver appoints Abby as Charge Nurse without consultation.
