    FG slowly gaining momentum

Family Guy is slowly - but inevitably - gaining momentum. This was the first episode that really made me laugh. All the fans of Norm MacDonald will like this one. It's a bleeding shame Norm didn't reprise the role later during the series, but it was recast to some "nobody".

    10/10 -- A TRULY CLASSIC EPISODE!

Norm Macdonald as Death is like peanut butter and jelly. It's such a shame he didn't keep this role.

    This episode still kills it

Peter becomes death in a humorous accident and then must perform his duties to claim souls after the world discovers there is no death.

Norm McDonald kills it as death. His voice acting is perfecting for the role with his sarcastic tone. Episode would hit differently if someone was voice acting death.

The best joke in this is when death asks Peter "can you imagine if hitler was still alive?" and hitler has a game show interviewing Christian Slayer.

    • Trivia
When the doctor tells Peter that he has a fatty corpuscle, Peter asks how it can be a "dead comedian from the silent movie era". The person Peter's referring to is Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle.
    • Goofs
Death's right foot disappears when he stands up to leave at the end of the episode.
    • Quotes

Death: [car is shown rocking with Death and girl having sex inside] Oh yes. Oh yes!

Girl: Oh oh oh oh yes...

[girl dies due to Death touching her]

Death: Oh man! Not again! I'm going to be a virgin for ever... or am I?

      [car starts rocking again]

    • Alternate versions
Syndicated version cuts out a part of the Death flashback in which he is alone with a girl in a car, and accidentally kills her. In the uncut version, he says "I'm gonna be a virgin forever.... or am I?" and proceeds to do the deed with her despite killing her. Every part of this scene after the word "forever" is cut out in syndication.
