    More Competition

Once again the boys are fighting. This time it's over who is to host Christmas. Unfortunately, everyone is affected by their tawdry confrontations. When Martin decides to take another man's shift and skip the holiday, the sons are filled with guilt. This leads to some serious complications. For me, it wasn't all that entertaining.

    We Two Kings

I was concerned this episode was just going to be Frasier and Niles bickering for the whole time, but it does end up being more than that, with some nice examples of physical comedy and a sense of heart as well.

The plot with Roz works less well as it ultimately goes nowhere but hey, it's a Roz storyline - when are they ever great?

    Good fun overall.

The title is from the Christmas carol, We Three Kings of Orient Are.
    • Goofs
On Christmas morning, Martin takes one of the fake presents from under the tree and prepares to open it. Since the fake presents obviously have no gift tags indicating their intended recipients, why would Martin assume that present was for him?
    • Quotes

Roz Doyle: Come on, Frasier. Talk to me. Use your words

Dr. Frasier Crane: It's just so egregious.

      Roz Doyle: Smaller words.

    • Crazy credits
When the title "Frasier" is on screen, in the usual accompanying silhouette of Seattle The Space Needle has a Christmas tree star at its top and is decorated with colored lights hanging from wires.
