    Where did he put it

One of the most emotional Friends episodes ever and all credits for that goes to David and Jeniffer, two great actors. Even if its a sad episode we still got a laugh here and there. Joey and Chandler were cute when they heard girls screaming and came to help with some dishes hahah.

    Summary of the Ross character

This episode summarizes Ross's character. Everything in the previous episodes lead to this exact moment. He is needy, demeaning, looking for a trophy girlfriend who should not have a real career and he is a pest. He even cannot manage to apologize properly because he thinks he has an awesome profession (as Rachel said it's merely about dinosours who died million years ago) and he thinks other people's lives and professions are useless. He thinks he can outsmart Rachel even during his handling of the situation. He is even trying to be "right" during an apology. The proper lesson for Ross and other like minded men would be for Rachel to actually sleep with Mike during the so-called break and offer to get together. Good acting from Schwimmer because he portrayed a loser character with 100% accuracy.

    so moving

I think the first time I watched this I had never been heartbroken.. but watching it now this was so moving. David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston - WOW WOW WOW! Just amazing performances and connection. I actually cried. Dancer in the Dark is the last film I cried over. They both deserve an EMMY for these performances alone. And of course so well written. And funny bits too! My favourite line from Joey at the end: "Maybe she killed him." Perfect timing! Watching these again, 20 years older, I am surprised at how good it is. And how things mean different things to me now than when I was in my teens/early twenties. It is good for all ages!

    One of the best episodes

I was very emotional during this episode. Both Jennifer Aniston and David Swimmmer did a breathtaking job acting. This is where Friends was just beginning on it's amazing run

    • Trivia
During the Friends: The Reunion (2021), when asked about this episode by host James Corden, all six cast members agreed that Ross and Rachel were indeed "on a break".
    • Goofs
Monica, Phoebe, Joey and Chandler can hear Ross and Rachel talking in the living room, but Rachel and Ross can't hear the others talking in Monica's room, even though they're not whispering. However, Rachel and Ross are arguing loudly or even yelling at each other, and are so engrossed in their conversation they likely didn't hear anyone talking normally in the bedroom. The others have to listen at the door, meaning they can't otherwise hear them, and thus Ross and Rachel wouldn't be able to hear them either being much further away from the bedroom.

      Joey Tribbiani: Awful!

Chandler Bing: Not good! Not good!

Joey Tribbiani: Nothing compared to you.

      Ross Geller: Different.

      Joey Tribbiani: No!

      Chandler Bing: Uh oh.
