    Another Great Episode

This is yet another fast paced episode that manages to pack in several great sketches, including three that are regarded as classics. The first, the Dirty Hungarian Phrasebook, gave the world the immortal line "my hovercraft is full of eels." The Communists Quiz became a highlight of the stage show, and what can be said about the title sketch?

The Spam sketch is just plain silly, and like the Parrot Sketch its appeal is undeniable. But there's so much more to this episode, from paintings going on strike to the Ypres sketch devolving into Cleese's overacting. And of course, the cold opening, in which the Pythons managed to recreate the credits to a swashbuckling action movie is a great fake-out.

Vikings: [singing] Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam! Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam! Lovely Spam, wonderful Spam!

    • Crazy credits
In the end credits, every credit has something to do with the Spam sketch: most of the names have "Spam" in them (often more than once); the others have things like "eggs" or "sausage" in them.
