Brilliant casting and performance by John Abbott.

Curious that the powers at be would pick an Englishman to play Dr Frankenstein IV. Even odder was that John Abbott didn't use a fake German accent but used his it appears regular British speaking voice. It all worked out quite well as they certainly picked the right man. I enjoyed Yvonne De Carlo's performance trying to communicate with Johann and rationalizing why he wasn't speaking properly. As the series progresses she is definitely getting more comical lines and involved more in gags. John Abbott trying to deal with Johann coaxing him into the closet with the fire torch was hilarious. Episode is a classic.

Trivia
Johann's behavior is like Boris Karloff's in the 1931 film version of Frankenstein (1931), complete with a fear of fire. Johann also wears a wool vest or shirt similar to what Karloff wore as the creature in Son of Frankenstein (1939).

Goofs
Herman refers to Dr. Victor Frankenstein IV as an "English guy." Frankenstein, however, is German.

Quotes
Dr. Victor Frankenstein IV: Just fancy that. You mean to say that Johann is rendevouzing at Happy Valley lodge with your wife?
Herman Munster: That's right. And I don't think it's what you English guys call 'cricket'.
