Ziva joins the team

Ziva joins the team as Kate's replacement, albeit as a Mossad liaison officer and not an NCIS agent. It is in this episode that we are treated with what will affectionately be referred to as 'Zivaisms', such as 'porkuswine' and 'porkupig', meaning porcupine. And 'donkey's butt' meaning 'horse's ass'.

All the titles of the episodes thus far (and in the future) will usually refer to content of the episode in some manner but I have to admit that I have no idea how the title 'Silver War' applies to this episode. Even so, this was an interesting episode with a good plot and a good introductory episode for Ziva.

Trivia
Ziva asks why her ball cap has a 9mm hole in it. It has two. The cap she is wearing is the one Tony shot in Marine Down (2003) and then gave to Kate. He actually gave it to Abby, after she said "whoa, cool, where can I get one of these?!" and he told her to have that one.

Goofs
Ducky shows the musket ball removed from the body. It is perfect and undamaged. Pure lead is soft and will distort after hitting a body especially bone.
