    Cool!

I like Lucy trying to squeeze the eye drops out of her eyes, which is impossible. The dancing is good. I like her dance partner he's hip and energetic.

    Love the Dancing!

This is one of my favorite episodes of I Love Lucy. I enjoy partner dancing in general and swing dancing in particular, and I really love Lucy and Arthur Walsh's dance routine. A minor note: although they call what Lucy and "King Cat" do the "Jitterbug" it is actually Lindy Hop. I used to dance the Lindy here in Denver every week for many years, and this episode took me back to some very fun times!

    It was

It was a typical Lucy episode. Filled with the Queen of Comedys' gags and flubs. The only thing I didn't like was this Athur Walsh trying to be a cool cat. He irritated me. Something no Lucy Show character has ever done before. Still this was a fine episode and I would have given it a 8 or 9 if not for Walsh. Beautifully done jokes as always. The " Jitterbug" scene was bad. A forgotten dance in this modern rock/Jazz/Country Music era. The Mertzs did well, which they always did anyway. I still liked this and would recommend it to anyone that wants to watch it. All in all a good directed music score and a well directed dance at the end.

    • Trivia
The song heard while Lucy dances the jitterbug is "Stompin' at the Savoy".
    • Goofs
Lucy sends Ricky out for ice cream when Bill Parker arrives. She walks him to the door, saying to get a quart of vanilla and have them pack it in that special packing. Ethel and Fred follow her and as soon as the door closes, one of them hits a key on the piano and they all begin singing There's No Business Like Show Business. Since Ricky had barely taken a few steps into the hall, he surely would have heard them even through the closed door.

Ricky Ricardo: How about having dinner with us tonight?

Bill Parker: Wonderful. Like to meet your wife.

Ricky Ricardo: That's right, you haven't met Lucy, have you?

      Bill Parker: Not yet.

Ricky Ricardo: OK, I'll call her.

[he starts to dial the 'phone]

Bill Parker: Y'know, it'll be a real pleasure to spend an evening with some folks who aren't trying to audition for my show.

Ricky Ricardo: [he stops dialing] Uh oh.

      Bill Parker: What's the matter?

Ricky Ricardo: Look, if you want to spend a real pleasant evening, I better introduce you as Bill Parker, an old friend of mine, and not mention anything about your connections with show business.

Bill Parker: Has your wife got aspirations?

Ricky Ricardo: No, no, she's feeling all right. Just that she wants to get in show business.
