    Foreign Parts

Alf has reached 60 and is forced to retire. The vending machine is playing up. The supermarket is having a German week to sell more German produce.

So let's see where this will go. I am sure someone will wear a Nazi uniform and shout orders in a German accident.

Now that the supermarket has no security guard, they suddenly get a ransom note. I wonder who could possibly had wrote it?

Tripper wants to run the supermarket along military lines as he bemoans the fact the National Service has been abolished.

As for the ransom note. Tripper deals with it himself, he was in the military police and he thinks the ransom note is the work of an amateur. Tripper does not contemplate who for a moment who was recently fired.

A pretty bog standard underpar episode. The only best bit was the elderly woman who thought that Germans had invaded Britain so she gets all her shopping done.

    It's been done before.

Supafare has a German week to promote the sale of German goods, Tripper has decided to retire Alf, who's turned sixty, with the security guard gone, someone takes advantage.

In 1975, Grave Brothers had a German week, the only difference, Are you being Served was funny, this sadly isn't. Did they literally lift the plot from that episode?

It's very un pc, and of course goes to places no show would now, but it is of its time, the German outfit scene did cause a few chuckles.

Sadly it's not getting a whole lot better, 5/10.
