It makes for a very funny episode indeed, I really enjoyed it. It's not clear at this point that 'TBBT' would become the massive hit it would go on to be, but all the signs were there.
Pros: witty dialogues, character-driven humor, enjoyable dynamics between the main cast.
Cons: plot is simple and predictable, typical for early-season sitcom episodes.
Verdict: A funny and light episode that maintains character development and keeps the audience entertained.
My rating: 8/10.

- GoofsNear the end, Leonard says about Sheldon, "I wonder who's gonna tell his parents they're not gonna have grandchildren," but Leonard knows Sheldon's father has been dead for years. Further, he also knows that Sheldon has two siblings (at least one of which does in fact later give his mother a grandchild) who could do so.

Sheldon: I'll have a Diet Coke.
Penny: Okay, can you please order a cocktail? I need to practice mixing drinks.
Sheldon: Fine. I'll have a virgin Cuba Libre.
Penny: That's, um, Rum and Coke without the Rum.
Sheldon: Yes.
Penny: So, Coke.
Sheldon: Yes... And would you make it Diet?
Penny: There's a can in the fridge.
Sheldon: A Cuba Libre traditionally comes in a tall glass with a lime wedge.
Penny: Then swim to Cuba.
